Brendan Janus
Player Valuation: £40m
I just hope he doesn't start listening to his own hype - he still has a long way to go to become a top defender tbh, positionally and physically. Needs to continue putting the work in.
Agreed !!

Although I'm glad we didn't sell i think we missed the chance to get the max possible fee for him, can't see him going for over £40m this time next year unless he has the most mega euro's ever.
I know lots of our fans think we will get more if he has another good season but it's not a view shared by...well anyone who isn't an Everton fan.
It would seem likely that the England team on Tuesday could well be a bit different from the team that started on Saturday.
RH isn't a gambler nor indeed are most managers once they get to a major finals so barring injury I would expect Smalling and probably Cahill to be the starting CDs.
Once we get past Euro 2016i would suspect that Stones will either be starting for England or pushing for selection but prior to the closing of the 2016 summer transfer window he is going to be judged on his PL performances and added in will be potential.
I personally think he will be gone in January or at the latest September next .
If I am right none of the really big Eureopean clubs will be pushing for him meaning a move to any of Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal or Chelsea
For those that are thinking of £40 million sorry that really isn't going to happen. I personally don't believe Chelsea went over £30 million in the last window for I find it impossible to believe that Everton, despite the words, were or ever will be in a position to turndown such an offer
Put all that together and when he goes, for he will then I don't believe the fee will be over £35 million
Erm... Do you realise you've just said Cahill and Chris Smalling of all people is a lesser gamble than playing John Stones?
I think Smalling is a quality player tbh, he's really improved defensively. Cahill is less showy but generally solid.
It's a dammed if you do dammed if you don't scenario regarding the possible sale of John Stones.
His value will rise of that I've no doubt, but I can guarantee you had he been sold for £35 million a lot of posters in this thread would have been going ballistic.
We shall see.
He's not bad, but if United were at the level they should be, he'd barely make the bench.
Whereas John Stones would walk into that United side as first choice in my view. The days of United having quality like Ferdinand and Vidic are long gone.
John Stones is a definite starter for the Euros - Roy would be bonkers not to play him there given how suited to the international game his style of play is, and how he's more than likely going to be the automatic pick and probable captain for the next 10 years too.
Why would Everton sell in January for only a couple more million that they already turned down? Replacing him would be difficult and expensive in that window without any bedding in time either. It would seem likely that the England team on Tuesday could well be a bit different from the team that started on Saturday.
