Again when we signed a full back from Barnsley did you think approved 18 months later team would bid over 30 million , and we would turn it down - i.e. If you don't see a player Regulary how will anyone know?

For as solid as he's looked still think we need to go all out in summer for even better. I think there's 3/4 keepers POSSIBLY in our reach that are better:

Forster
Butland
Schmeichel (almost impossible now)
Elliot
Foster (at a push)

Even Bunn at Villa has looked impressive

I'd throw 15 mill at any of that top 3

Hes got MOTM with us a few times, Spurs this season for example. Some games Howard has been brilliant.
I reckon Robles would be better overall though

If Howard had been in goal he'd have got slated by us for that. To be fair, the obvious difference is that Robles is young and still learning, so will get cut more slack from the fans.

Perhaps an optimistic valuation! Although I couldn't see him fetching any more then 20 million. Whst do you value him at? My number 1 target would be Frasier Forster. I've mentioned him before, think he's a top, top keeper at right age & experience too. But probably a difficult buy for any of these players now, as clubs don't neccassarily need the money now. Comes back down to player power/ ambitions more so. Could be a very interesting summer anyways

we have missed out on Butland and we are no position to pay 25 million to stoke, we should look for the next butland and my choice would be David Bentley.

Stoke are minted look at the transfer windows they always outspend us!

Them clubs are under no pressure to sell, the players would see us as a sideways step, we couldn't afford them anyway, and if they did come into the market there would be a fair few clubs in the mix aswell, clubs most likely wealthier than us
