Robles is only 25 which is very young for a keeper. He came through the system at Athletic Madrid and moved to England aged just 22 to forge a new life. He's represented Spain from Under 16s through to Under 23s.

He has every chance of going on to be a great keeper. At the same age Big Nev was losing out to Jim Arnold between our nets and was at Port Vale on loan.

I'm just saying - he could be great.

Mori tore him a strip for not coming out to claim the ball once against Newcastle, Robles just shrugged !

If Howard had been in goal he'd have got slated by us for that. To be fair, the obvious difference is that Robles is young and still learning, so will get cut more slack from the fans.

Yeah, you slate Barkley every chance you can get and defend someone who has offered up a fifth of talent that Barkley has.

I don't slate Barkley at all. I just don't think he's quite the world class player some do. Just as Barkley has potential then so too does Robles. For a keeper he's still very young. His pedigree is excellent.

For as solid as he's looked still think we need to go all out in summer for even better. I think there's 3/4 keepers POSSIBLY in our reach that are better:

Forster
Butland
Schmeichel (almost impossible now)
Elliot
Foster (at a push)

Even Bunn at Villa has looked impressive

I'd throw 15 mill at any of that top 3
