Jimmy Bullard

I think he'd be a very good addition, would be a squad player but possibly potential to become a regular starter.

look , this is just stupid now.

if this is our target , if people think this is progress , then people are deluded.

jimmy bullard is not top 4 quality .he is not event top 10 quality.
he's 29 and has dodgy legs .

players of this standard = wigan , hull , fulham , sunderland , stoke , birmingham , wba , ....you get the drift ?

if your in scrap for relegation then get him,
if you want to finish in the top ten or compete for cups dont.

you dont tell the fans you want moutinho and then end up with a championship standard player like bullard.

i want quality signings , the so called quality signings moyes and kenwright have promised.
we are in [Poor language removed] becouse moyes apparently wouldnt lower his standards and would only buy players that would improove the team.
bullard does not/ will not/ cannot improove our team.

we have looked at the best , looked at the best of the rest , now we are in the best of what ever's left .

bullard is a good player , but not good enough im afraid.

He's only going to cost 4 million and I do think he's coming as a squad player. Like Sidwell at Villa for example, he's nothing special but they've got a small squad and he's a good squad filler. He can do a job.

Lets hope Moyes is also looking for quality aswell, if he isn't then I'll be very pissed off.

Hes a good lad, great bloke of the pitch and very likeable.

Negatives.... fcuk me hes ugly.
..................And hes not going to take us to the next level is he really?
..................Not good enough for Everton Football Club IMO

From a Fulham Fan;

don't understand some of you fans. He plays well for us and even sets up a goal on the weekend and you want him out!? 84% pass completion last year, that is more then Gerrard and Fabregas

Echoes what I said earlier, he rarely loses the ball.

Thing is though uknightbreed, I would expect him along with the likes of Moutinho (y)

now thats the clincher.

if we sign the 1 or 2 quality players we need and then we need atleast 2 more squad players , then fine , bullard= great to have in the squad.

i just wish they would buy the quality first.

ps looking around , im pretty much 80% sure that m'bia and another player (perhaps bullard) will be in by this time next week.

Agreed, he's not a limited player, he's a decent footballer and he plays the game the right way.

He's similar to Osman. Lots of energy and a good little footballer. A good player to have in the squad in my opinion and at the moment we need midfielders.

I hope your right, that's a key signing. We need a defensive midfielder more than anything.

I always liked Bullard, he was a class player who worked hard and scored goals on free kicks and open play. If we could get him in the midfield and Jags back in defence then I think that would work. I think Jags' days of midfield are behind him.

im slightly scared that moyes doesnt agree with you/us.

i think he is more than happy with neville jags and rodwell to play dm.

would i be surprised if moyes doesnt buy a few midfeilders and instead buys a cb and a rb , then moves neville and jags into midfeild permanantly ? ..... no not at all.
whould i be happy with that ? ................ no not at all.

your thoughts on jags and neville in midfeild ?....actually dont bother i know what your gonna say. :D

I have faith in Moyes to get the right man in, he's pissed me off alot this summer but he has always said defensive midfield is priority.

He knows Jags can't play there and Neville has to be play right back. I'm confident he'll get his man in.

Only 1 question is needed. Does Bullard improve the squad in terms of QUALITY, the answer must be no. Yea hes a decent player and so on, but Moyes has made a big rod for his back.

Hes said he only wants players that will bring the club forward. Take us to the next level, to go out and sign Bullard, Smith or similar players would mean he was lying in the 1st place.

Yes we are getting desperate and im sure every single club in Europe is now aware of this, so i reckon they will want 20m for Bullard now anyway. Its gonna be a looooooooooooong hard season, unless we get in the 6-7 players Moyes said at the start we need. Can anybody see this happening? Even Moyes has basically said he cant.

Moyesy says: "We have got injured players to come back, we had some players away in Africa who we knew were going to take a little bit longer to get ready. Tim Cahill isn't back yet, Leon Osman missed a good majority of the pre-season and has only just returned. He only passed a fitness test before the game.

We have got young boys as well so if we picked up an injury or two, we might be in trouble. Joseph Yobo also had extra time off because of his situation in the summer. We have got players at all different levels and all different periods of their preparation. We have really only had four or five players who have done all the work. I said in the summer that I needed to get five players, it could now be up to six or seven. Is getting seven players in possible? I don't know."

I don't think he's known as a squad player and i don't think he would be a squad player if, hopefully he comes to goodison, he's got more quality than ossie, passes the ball well, excellent free kick taker, will run all day long and is always in the oppositions faces, exactly the kind of player evertonians love.

Get your act together DM, get the lad signed.
