Sidibe was a somewhat important part of the team not turning to a complete disaster under Silva. No, not good enough, but at least he had some use.

Gbamin should be given a real shot.

....won’t ever be a ‘flash’ player but was signed to be an effective player of the Doucoure type. It’s such a shame his time here has been devastated through serious injury, only time will tell if he still has a part to play. His game is based on running power so much will depend how the injuries will impact that aspect.

You can't even use the excuse of rounding up or down, as if you were doing that, you'd say he'd been out for a year.

He's been out for 14 months as we speak.

I don't think anyone is counting on him, they're just hoping.

Personally I think he'll make a few cameo appearances and then be loaned back to France until his contract expires barring some miracle, as recovering from those injuries and playing at the level we aspire to be at is wishful thinking.

Just bad luck with this one.

I like to be optimistic .

He's got a LONG road back from this, but I hope he manages it. We could do with another midfielder who can contribute

His injury hell led to a huge hole in the midfield, which in turn saw Silva sacked as he had no answer.

Ancelotti comes in and revamps the entire midfield with sensible spending, whilst we still have the unknown of JPG to come back potentially.
