Jealous of Chelsea or Man City

One thing i'd say about City fans is that they haven't turned into knobs since the money - it's just more noticeable now.

Honestly, they've always been knobs.
Spot on mate Chelsea and City are small clubs who won the jackpot. Everton are a big club who have a proper fan base which is not just confined to Merseyside but with good solid local support ( Bit like us). Your horrible neighbours are a big club (although it pains me to say it) Arsenal are a big club as well. P.S City reckon to be the proper Manchester club what a load of tosh most of their fans are from Stockport

I can validate this story (y)

C'mon Chelsea certainly isn't a small club. And you could argue city aren't as well.

Success wise we are bigger than both of them. ( Yes Chelsea won the cl, but we were robbed of the opportunity to compete in Europe)

True fan base( not including glory hunters), I'd say we are bigger than Chelsea and similar sized fan base to city

Chelsea were upper mid card before the money. They were decent in cups in the 90's, but they did a fat load of nothing in the 80's. They did win the FA Cup in 1970 to be fair to them. Pre money, they'd had one league and a few cup wins. Not exactly world shaking

City had won the league more than once and also won some cups before the money

I'd rate City above Chelsea in the grand scheme of things, all being equal

yes but Chelsea have also won a lot of other things, and you can't logically say they are a small club if you look at their trophy cabinet.

This is their golden era, though. When I started watching football they had 4 trophies in their cabinet, now it's 19. It's sometimes difficult to shift perceptions.

Certainly I think they were small 20 years ago when I got into the game.

fanbase, bigger than Chelsea? I'm sure a big London team will have more fans than us.

1. Man Utd
2. Liverpool
3 Arsenal.
4. Everton
5. Villa
6. Chelsea
7. City
8. Spurs

Personally that's how I'd rate the most successful sides in the country. (Probably being a bit biased)

Man City - Two bob outfit.
Forgotten where they came from.
No history like United.
Won the title cos Paddy Kenny listened to the crowd..

Ex Everton legends.. Ball.. Kendall.. Reid.. Royle.. tried to help you.. then.. even Sparky played for us... and he couldn't do it..

Kevin Langley was ace, but they ruined him as well...

Man City .. Ricky Hatton sums them right up...

Jealous of the success they are getting, yes.

Do I want to be a City fan / Cheslea fan, No.

I like city, and hate them. Only because I work in Manchester, and know about 8 City fans in our whole Company.....But they are "The Manchester club rkid".

I love how City fans 'try' to be as 'Manc' as possible.....even though they are from Bolton & Stockport...rkid!!!

Still, cant knock their support at times. Course they had **** crowds, like we did. But in the main, top support....again, like ours.

It does irk me when playing them in "our cup final". They obviously don't really get football, if they say this. They are (was) champions of England, beating them is great, so is beating Spurs, Arsenal, United and the ****e.

Its the other lot in that **** hole of a city (City Centre not included), that I hate. Maybe im jealous of them too.

No doubt the pilled up Frank Gallagher, Ian Brown walking, scruffy tramps are reading this.....scatooorrrr rkid.

BTW, I drive past city's training ground every day, after United won the title, a huge '20' was painted on the gates and a big electric box.....it was on the box for 2 weeks before getting rid of it. Tramps.
