I blame the recruitment department under Angus Kinnear.

If someone can show me Moyes rejected options this window then he can have some of the blame as well but Kinnear was already eager to downplay expectations for this window in December.

He’s raised the expectations himself by making choices of a manager shooting for Europe. I’d be happy to see this as a progression year if the manager was making choices based on that goal.
