Slightly off topic, but sometimes we feel down on our luck, but penny for the thoughts of Palace fans. Mateta wanted out, Strand Larson identified as a replacement, Mateta fails medical and will now need surgery on identified injury and will be out for 3-4 months, not sure if that puts Larson deal at risk, they’ve lost club captain and the manager is getting off and after a 17 game unbeaten run to start the season they seem to be getting dragged in to a relegation battle.

The FA cup has seemed to be a bit of a poisoned chalice for teams outside the elite who have won it over the past couple of decades.
