January Transfer Window 2026

Most teams in the pl have recruited this january. No recruitment in january = failure from the recruitment team. Simple.
They know what we need, and they know for some time. I think they will be some business done, but again as usual, it will be on the last day or 2.
50% of teams have recruited players. That isn't most however you dress it up.

Excluding the players City have bought (simply because we don't operate in that market) the only one who I think would have been a good signing for Everton was Brennan Johnson.

It's not a failure at all. It's a pragmatic approach whilst the club is still absolving itself from a decade long financial shitshow. We need 2/3 players for sure, but they aren't going to save us from relegation or propel us to the title.

I think if we had a wide player and a RB with some pace we could push for European football. Without them the 10th place trophy could be the best we can hope for.

Strand-Larsen is 26 years old. Was it 14 goals in the premier league last season? Wolves have generally been poor this season and they do not create many chances for him.

He's a striker who has shown goal scoring ability in the premier league. I would value him at say £35 million plus £5 million in add ons.

I think Palace are paying circa £10 million over his approximate valuation but if they stay up then it will have been worth it as being relegated would cost them a whole lot more.

Mateta was a poor striker until Glasner got the most out of him so to receive £40 million for him turning 29 years old would be a good return.
