January Transfer Window 2026

What really knowing at me is that we are four points or Europe and we’ve taken 2 points from games Burnley, Wolves and Brentford.

This is the fourth festive period in a row where the squad has collapsed under the weight of fatiuqe due to unavailability, injuries and suspension.

I’m sick of it now, every year this time of year, it# been the same and the squad collapses.

This year it’s a massive opportunity missed if we take six points of Burnley and Wolves we are smack bang in CL contention.

We can cry about this and that and circumstances - but you make your own lick, squad depth has been pathetic in terms of navigating these festive/New year periods.
Mate, you know why we didn't take advanatage of the easy to win fixtures: we had a manager practically telling all the players they could clock off as we were "short of players". Players dont need any encouragement to do that and Moyes handed the excuse to them. Brentford especially was a disgrace in that regard.

And the only reason we "were short" is because this idiot manager wouldn't or couldn't bring through players brought in during the summer like Aznou, Dibling and Rohl and get them integrated and up and running as first teamers..

All your frustration should be aimed at the dullard.

Needs sacking just for this Christmas and new year alone.

Multi factorial to be honest, 80% of the blame lies at the feet of the last regime, under investment and asleep at the wheel allowing the natural wastage of contracts in the squad.

Aznou, Rohl and Dibling will come good I’m sure of that Barry I have my doubts. The outlook for them will and should be measured over three years…..not sure they were Daveys plan A, even if he did agree to them. Davey wants 27-32 year old out of the box players IMO, club wants a more long term strategy.

You know I’m a fan - but that how I see it going down, perhaps the lack of mind or “success” is part of a wider - “told you so” power play.

The chance we’ve just had is significant, the festive period and opportunity we just missed is criminal.

If we dont push on from here into at least top ten I dont think it'll be anti-Moyes people alone wanting him gone.

It'll be one of the biggest failures in Everton's recent history not to get at least 10th with the quality of players like Grealish, KDH and Ndiaye.

...and that's saying something.

Aren't our new super duper elite executive crew all now in post? Obviously there's no evidence of them doing anything. At all. But we were told back in the summer that, after their gardening leave, we had the dream team.
Don’t forget, we’ve also bought a whole data analysis company to stop other clubs using the bloke who owned it. Probably for millions when FM Genie Scout is only $5. Looking forward to the links to the next Freddy Adu 😀

10th/11th/12th mean nothing. Is it a more solid season? Damn right it is which is nice compared to the last 4 we've endured.

But it won't be keeping the likes of Illy around for another season of the same. The lack of ambition means we'll always lose our best players ( with the exception if Pickford who is very happy ). Grealish won't be back for another stab at 10th, Braithwaite may stay to try and get his himself back up and running for a year.

Europe was literally there for the taking this season with some ambition and drive, 1 things Everton haven't shown for the best part of 30+ years apart from the odd false dawn.

The thing is, there is no evidence until someone does sign - doesn’t mean to say there isn’t tonnes of work going on to identify and scout players and make contact with agents and clubs. We have to be patient and let them do their work - judge them after this summer window

With each passing day of the transfer window and no activity…are TFG thinking why give Moyes money when he won’t be here next season?

Like i get them not blowing 100 million but not even a loan is very odd!!

Is what is said every single year. We are currently in their third window and I'm unimpressed so far.

"Keep the powder dry until the summer", "no value in January", "no better than what we have", "we're looking to see if there's anyone out there", "people not looking to sell"...pick your phrase and see what comes up on the Bingo card.

There's people who still believe the above, believe that Everton are right and they'll prove it in the summer, around when we will get "it's a world Cup year, so it's difficult to do early signings", "the players we want, they want to keep their options open", "there's no value in August" etc etc etc

Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.

It’s your right to be unimpressed but they have only had one summer window and whilst a few haven’t hit the ground running it’s too early to write them off. Overall, I thought we did well last summer given the huge churn we had. They have more stability going into this summer and the perception of Everton as a basket case after PSR / 777 will be less than last year so we should expect even more progress.

I’m less concerned about position and more concerned about points mate - the value of positions at the moment have diminished given the league is so bunched.

For all our absolute tanking of recent games and opportunity missed we are still four points of Europe.

That’s what’s annoying me, we should have taken prob about 7 points from fixtures vs Wolves, Burnley and Brentford - if we had we’d be well cemented in those Europe spots with some room to spare and a real chance. But no the squad collapsed for basic numbers and depth again - year 4 during this period.

It’s a massive opportunity missed - look what Villa, Newcastle and Brentford did in this period with proper squad depths and options.

He’s six foot four. Moyes defo has a type. Perhaps he fancies switching to a back five of: Holm, JOB, Tarks, Keane and Branthwaite to ensure we don’t let in any more goals from crosses. We could have a brilliant basketball team by the end of this window. 😁

Back 3 wouldn’t be terrible with our CB but alas we have nobody to really pigeon hole into a wingback roll. McNeil I guess but ugh
