January Transfer Window 2026

I can see what you're saying, certainly does have a record of scoring against us.

All I can say is for me his legs have gone, don't think his heart is really in it anymore and he's not the type of personality you look to bring into the club. Especially someone his age you would be expecting to set standards as a professional and I dont think he's that guy.

He can finish, give him a chance in the box and he'll take it, but is that really how we play? He would basically need to just hang around the box, maybe the only way it would be possible for an Everton striker to be more isolated than they already have been this season.

Can understand your points also mate. ;)

All i can think of is them scuffed chances by Barry and Beto in the box, or the balls we have no one on the ned of that i think Wilson buries (if fit). Id stress over a three year deal, but wouldnt loose much sleep on a short term incentive based contract.

Sadly feel the same

Would only really see the point as him coming in as 3rd choice prob better suited to play in a two aswell than beto and barry together. Just his injury problems would worry me if 2 nd choice, i do think beto will go in the summer and will have a price now. Just feel teams in italy will look for a loan now while a sale in the summer be easier
He's just practically informed there'll be no signings.

We'll bring in at least one player on loan. Most clubs will not be sanctioning loans or sales right now as all squads are stretched after festive fixture congestion and AFCON. However, once that settles, and with it being a world cup year, there will be lots of players wanting game time in the last week or so of the window. Reckon there will be lots of loan movement between clubs then.

Don't get me wrong, we should be really trying to push this year, but as usual, lack any ambition. But I'd be stunned if we didn’t bring in at least one loan.

I'd be prepared to be stunned then mate.

I'll be delighted to see a loan striker coming in but I just dont see it happening. There should have been one lined up to arrive here in the first days of this month.

Disappointing comments from Moyes. It's widely acknowledged that the rebuild is going to take more than one transfer window, but it'll take even longer if he chooses only to do business in 50% of those windows.

Has he got the choice and backing ?

Maybe this season is the question mark before sanctioning him further funds.

I dont know, I'm not questioning Moyes.
Just another possible perspective on what "we don't know" is going on behind the scenes..

Bobble said that it is Moyes pushing for reinforcements and the committee who are reticent. But, no doubt it is nuanced - Moyes will probably turn down a lot of options and the committee will probably be open to doing some business if it fits their plans.

But generally it is Moyes who is the one who is pushing supposedly.
