In the respect that he saw out his contract he was, but he did string the club and fans along by stalling on a new contract. He always seemed to be on the lookout for a new job if something half decent cropped up, so he's not someone I'd class as loyal even before his actions after he left.

He was only showing ambition. I thought you valued that more highly than loyalty?!

That's beside the point. I just find it weird that you would insult a player for remaining loyal to his club. I think it should be applauded.

Would you rather our players were all as ambitious as lescott?

I'm beginning to think that one of Everton's big problems is a culture of players being allowed to stay here and make big money while achieving next to nothing for years on end.

Agree with you there, but holding out on a new contract for more cash imo can't be classed as loyalty.

I disagree. They've got as much right as any player to get the best deal they can.

The way this transfer window is going we are going to have to ditch this 4-2-3-1 business and play 4-3-3.

Besic, Barkley and McCarthy can play the middle three, with Rom, Kone, McGeady, Nais, Mirallas and McAleny fighting it out for the front three places.

I know absolutely nothing about him except what bits I've picked up googling him but from that he looks OK so I'd take him. Not really great scouting but we need something soon!
