Player Valuation: £10m
So a player could be accused of a lack of ambition by renewing a contract here too then?
Depends who he is, which teams he's linked with and stuff.

As long as it has His contract stated he does not grab the ball off our pen taker!Would you say that if mirallas renewed his contract?

How about Coleman? Manu rumoured to be interested. Would it be a lack of ambition for him to stay?Depends who he is, which teams he's linked with and stuff.

That's beside the point. I just find it weird that you would insult a player for remaining loyal to his club. I think it should be applauded.I can't see why they'd buy Coleman when they can probably get Clyne for the same price.
Coleman's not out of contract in the Summer either.
You dont actually believe a premier league manager when he opens his mouth do you? Part of their coaching badge include telling outright lies.

Would you rather our players were all as ambitious as lescott?
quite suprising that
Yeah, I was surprised too. A lack of ambition.
A lot of Villa related people reckon they've tied him to a long term deal to be able to sell him off as early as the summer for a lot more than the £4m valuation he had on his head this month?!
I disagree. If all of our players did that we'd be screwed within a few years. We'd be better off with lescott's style of loyalty.Personally I think he's shown all the loyalty he should be expected to by seeing out his contract. He didn't sign for 'x' number of years with a gentleman's agreement that he'd sign another contract afterwards, did he?

Fulfilling an obligation isn't really what loyalty is about IMO. But I don't think we are going to agree on this.I'm not saying all our players should do it, or that it'd be good if all players did it, just that he signed a contract and he'd have fulfilled his obligations by seeing the contract out. Clubs have plenty of time to tie the player down to a longer term contract if they want to keep them.
Think he'd be above Ben Davies in the pecking order but who knows, seems like he'll continue to be our 3rd choice.Spurs have danny rose and ben Davis so I can't see them being after garbutt
