You dont actually believe a premier league manager when he opens his mouth do you? Part of their coaching badge include telling outright lies.

He seems a pretty straight shooter does Dyche. Anyway, Ings as already said he'll see the season out with them, so if it is true, we're wasting our time!

That's beside the point. I just find it weird that you would insult a player for remaining loyal to his club. I think it should be applauded.

Would you rather our players were all as ambitious as lescott?

Personally I think he's shown all the loyalty he should be expected to by seeing out his contract. He didn't sign for 'x' number of years with a gentleman's agreement that he'd sign another contract afterwards, did he?

A lot of Villa related people reckon they've tied him to a long term deal to be able to sell him off as early as the summer for a lot more than the £4m valuation he had on his head this month?!

That's obviously what has happened! Why would any england international wanted by top 6 sides sign and stay at villa who are struggling year in year out, are up for sale, have no money to invest and have no ambition or youth coming thru.

He's off in the summer. Villa fans should be greatfull he's staying till then to maybe help them avoid the drop and get them a wedge of cash when he does go now.

I disagree. If all of our players did that we'd be screwed within a few years. We'd be better off with lescott's style of loyalty.

I'm not saying all our players should do it, or that it'd be good if all players did it, just that he signed a contract and he'd have fulfilled his obligations by seeing the contract out. Clubs have plenty of time to tie the player down to a longer term contract if they want to keep them.

Fulfilling an obligation isn't really what loyalty is about IMO. But I don't think we are going to agree on this.
