2025/26 James Tarkowski

I get the impression you’ve never had a game of 11 a side before

There’s a difference between being a thug and being a physical player
In his defence he does go in OOT occasionally, but it is occasionally.
Once a season maybe.
I recall the one at Anfield, McAllister I think. That was a bit naughty.
There was one at Goodison as well, can't remember who against but it was near the corner of the Gladwys and Bullens, this one was probably worse than the Anfield one.
I don't recall any elbows though, unless he means the Chelsea one, but that was a more of a get out of my way elbow.

I wouldn't describe him as a thug though. He mostly open and honest and doesn't get media protection, unlike Big Virg who is very sly and does get protected.

He clearly is. That fact he’s got away with doesn’t disprove it. A murder who doesn’t get caught is still a murderer. You don’t mind a bit of thuggery on the pitch, I get it, I prefer players who don’t consistently try to hurt the opposition.
Given the mount of TV saturation nowadays, the fact that he ‘gets away with it’ suggests he isn't actually dong anything except belng a physically strong defender or he has access to sophisticated video correction software. Nobody who is as consistently in breach of the laws of the game as you claim would constantly escape punishment surely?

I wouldn't put it past him to have done his homework on the Ref course and the limits of what breaches the guidelines, he also wears the Captains Armband which guarantees more leeway.

Players like him are a dying breed and when they are gone, that's when it turns full on into a pansy game.

Just look at him ( and Garner ) they both went 4/5 games at the end of the year on 4 yellows when we were depleted of players. He knows what he's doing..
