Branthwaite is a great player, he is no use to us if he is out injured all the time though.

He hasn't been poor at all. A couple of dodgy moments. It happens.

Our defence has generally been really strong the past few seasons and the two constants are Pickford and Tarkowski.

His only issue for me is that he aint getting any younger.

He has, he's been a liability for most of the season and his lack of pace and ability on the ball restricts how we can play. He's a bottom third quality player. We need top half quality players.

I'd be happy with him starting next season, with a view to transitioning to cover for the rest of his time here...

Yup, but I’d rather wait until he shows some evidence of decline, rather than just point to his age or assume his replacement will be an improvement.

He’s still topping the stats and getting in PL teams of the week.
