He wants a song as he’s never had one before, so it’s about time you lot supported our (team) Captain

I’ll go first to get the old creative juices flowing;

Der, der, der, der, Jim Tar-kow-ski (repeat)

Or

He’s big,
He’s blue,
He’ll goose your Mrs too*
Tar-kow-ski, Tar-now-ski

* could also be ‘he loves a cheese fondue’

I had to search on Page 2 to find his thread! I’m one of the few who voted him MoM today , this was a Captain’s performance from Tarks , always there when he needed to be and leading by example. I wouldn’t argue too much with selections of other defenders as MoM but I do believe that the example he set today made sure that all our defenders played well .

Yeah there seems to be a trend with that. Generally after a good result and a good performance, the individual player thread is quiet ... Particularly for a long term player like Tarks who has done nothing but serve the club admirably to the best of his ability.

But a loss or a bad individual performance, and the usual suspects come in with massively over the top criticism, professing how they were always right and this guy is a yard dog not good enough for the Prem etc etc.

It will be like clockwork at the next loss.

He was a lot better today. Hopefully he's turned a corner and we'll see last season's Tarky from now on. I still think he's probably carrying an injury or two.

So I was the first person to vote for him & had to question my ball knowledge when I realised I was the only one. Pickford was brilliant & had the eye catching moments so I do understand the vote but for me Tarky was basically under siege for 90% of that game & throwing himself into the fire multiple times. One of those great Pickford saves was made because Tarkowski got a block in first.

Think like a couple of our players, he suits games where we are expected to be playing 10 men behind the ball with little pressure to do much else.

Probably the best I’ve seen him all season although he got away with that mad play back to Pickford.

Don't need his constant diving holding his face, it's become pretty obvious. Played well though
I honestly thought that 2 footed tackle, before i saw replay was going to be a Red, with him having a cob-on from that challenge he went down with in the area
