99/100 I'd be saying Calvert-Lewin before Beto, but I'd have started Beto today. Little bit of confidence perhaps from Fulham goal, and I've been disappointed with Calvert-Lewin's all round game this season.

Big drop off in Tarky this season for sure. We tried to find reasons for it because it was a suprise, such as Keane next to him, carrying an injury etc.
I think it's fair to say now that he's definitely on the wane
O'Brien next to Branthwaite for a few would be good to try. It can't do much worse

The thing I hate about him the most is the fact that he's our captain.

Last season at Sheffield United for their second goal I think it was, Patterson backed off their attacking player running towards our goal, then 20 seconds later Pickford was picking the ball out of his goal. Tarkowski then did absolutely nothing but hurl abuse at Patterson for supposedly being out-of-position (which I don't think he was - I thought it was Tarky who was in the wrong position) and for backing off. He didn't just have a go at him, he singled him out in front of everyone until Pickford eventually separated them both.

Regardless of whether he was right about it, for a player who at the time would've only been 21 to receive such abuse from his captain I thought was honestly disgusting.

The reason I mention this is because yesterday Jarrad obviously made an absolutely howler for their second goal, and from where I was stood in the away end I didn't see Tarkowski saying anything to Jarrad. That says a lot for me. Because he's 6 ft 3 and would probably sit him down on his arse he keeps quiet does he? Isn't that a bully's trait?

He's had a poor start to the season and I think not being next to Branthwaite has exposed a lot of his flaws but I think when Jarrad gets that match sharpness back they'll be fine together, because I don't mind him as a player. But for me, my biggest issue is him being captain. I honestly think he's a pathetic excuse of a leader. Despite him being terrible at footy, Coady was a 10x better leader.

Yes there were. The fact he’s played for nothing but relegation doomed teams at the age of 32 tells you what his level is. He’s not a very good player.

Watching back some of the "highlights," his lack of awareness on the sides and behind is stunning given how well he reads what's in front of him. He's completely out of his depth at the moment.

I like Tarkowski, he's the first in at any hint of trouble, but I'll admit he has been awful this Season, whether he's unfit, carrying an injury or just plain finished i don't know. What I do know is our two massive centre backs pulled out of challenges leading to two of their goals yesterday, and I was disgusted by that.

No didn't say it was either, but it a useful trait to have, not many took advantage when Duncan was here, they thought twice. Far too many in our team are meek.

Re-assuringly excellent tonight. Some signs he’d started to wobble and run in treacle. Really good game. Got across to cover behind Young and JB countless times.

Very much at odds with the message our manager portrays to the media. And also empty words not backed up by the players’ body language on the pitch, particularly when they go a goal down.
