I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I got piled on in the summer for suggesting he was a bang average bottom half centre back :pint2:
He has never been an elite player (hence Burnley, now Everton) but he looked like one of the better centre halves we've had in recent years immediately after joining us.

Alongside Branthwaite last season he looked really good in a steady defence, barely any individual errors between them.

I don't think there were signs in the summer that he'd suddenly start looking like he's never kicked a ball before.

Clearly now your statement does ring true though, but he's 32 and seemingly been playing with some injuries. His prime is long behind him.

Yes there were. The fact he’s played for nothing but relegation doomed teams at the age of 32 tells you what his level is. He’s not a very good player.
 
Amazing how he hasn't been dropped.

People talk Dyche and favourites, bit bizarrely never include Tarkowski in that discussion.



You’ve just made that up, loads of people recognise him as a Dyche minion. I wanted him replaced with O’Brien when we signed him. You probably want him dropped for Keane, that’s the only difference.
