Always been a talent, but his mentality is so different this season. Sounds a bit cliche but must have done something over the summer. Just far more belief him in himself, aggressive, streetwise and massively determined. Like he’s realised he’s not a kid in our midfield anymore and just lucky to get the odd game next to Gana. Happy to boss games and take the limelight, in his own bashful way.

Probably because we were away, Gana more disciplined and allowed Garner to shine again. Nothing particularly spectacular today, but super consistent, and we don’t take any points without performances like his in the midfield.

In hindsight was a great bit of business, selling Onana when we did.

Think both were signed the same summer for very different fees.

Its a weird thing to say, Villa certainly play better when Onana plays and he's a top player. Jimmy has become our best player imo and I wouldn't sell him unless he wants to leave
