2025/26 James Garner

Snodin was signed as a CM in a good team. He flopped and was moved to become a really good RB. Not hard really for a decent footballer. Garner is a decent CM in a very average team. Keep him CM.

Snodin surprised me when he went to right back at just how good he settled in there.
Bit like bracewell though. Injuries had done them in. Never came back as same players.

Surely our debate was about what you and I think..
We think differently on the matter.

Moyes wasn't part of our conversation.

I mean atleast you only think it, Moyes actually done it..
I'm not sure I've ever seen you debate anything mate. You just seem to latch on to threads you can bicker on and drip feed it with short posts criticising other people or their opinions. The Harrison Armstrong thread was virtually unreadable for a long spell thanks to your spamming of it.

It'd be a shame for another thread to go the same way, particularly when it's the thread of a player who turned in a MOTM performance last night.

Wow.

Well you've put me in my place there.
Why you need to go personal, I don't know.

But if that's the feeling alround, than i'll knock it on the head..

At RB

This feller must be the only MOTM by a country mile to be then told he should play elsewhere in the team the following game.

If it isn't broke dont fix it.

People have been chewing their hands off and complaining about the lack of a RB for ages. We have one and he's proven it again.

It's up to the manager to now find a system and a choice of players to get the midfield operating. Fortunately, it's an area of the pitch we're really strong in with lots of choices.

That's the way forward until the summer, not pitchforking our best RB (or FB of any description) out of this new position for him.

While we're at it Garner is also our best midfielder, so why not play him there.

Making the spine of your team weaker to accommodate Michael Keane and Gana/ Tim Iroegbunam is about as nonsensical a footballing decision there is. Unless of course, you were only interested in containing the opposition and bypassing the midfield completely with long percentage hoofs when you do finally have the ball . If that was the plan and it seems likely it was, it’s probably not a good idea to leave your slowest defender as a last man when you are attacking. Garner is our best right back, he’s our best left back, he’d even be the best right sided midfielder and number 10 as well because he does everything a footballer can do well, far better than the majority of his teammates and that’s why you put him in the most important part of the pitch ffs!

Ridiculous.

we need him at both rb and cm

its frustrating because we should have a legit rb by now and its neglegent we don’t

i would go with him rb till end of season as two of rohl/armstrong/tim alongside kdh is a better compromise than obrien at RB
