2025/26 James Garner

if we could clone one of our players id choose him

one in centre midfield one at at right back

great player and glad he’s signed. was getting slightly concerned the better he got

will we see a dip in performance now?…

I'd clone Pickford. We've only been able to name two sub goalies for some games this season and neither of them are world class.

Pretty pretttyy pretty good

Wonder how much he's on now.

Really I'm curious about the wage structure under TFG.

At the higher end we have Grealish - Branthwaite from 225k - 120k a week.

I wonder if Jimmy G gets in that higher end.

….probably compares to what he might have got elsewhere, not sure what that might be because it’s Monopoly money anyway but he’d have to be amongst our top earners now.

If they can convince Illy to a new deal, that would be Pickford, Branthwaite, Garner and Illy ( if it happens )
KDH jumped on board, and you never know with Jack longterm..

We might not be seeing things in the window at the moment, but these lads are buying into a project..
💯. Add Jake O’B to that and there’s at least half a team there in that same rough age bracket too - mid-twenties, best years hopefully to come. The progress is very much two steps forward one step back, BUT I think it’s impossible to overstate how much better a position we’re in now compared to eighteen months ago. We’re currently a half built house. If the weather’s bad, it looks terrible. But wait till it’s finished!

The mentality shift even in the last year has been huge

We’ve gone from ‘the most important thing is to remain a premier league club’ to ‘the target is Europe’ being mentioned by everybody in every interview. Nobody is hiding that ambition and being a win off the European positions halfway through the season even after afcon and injuries it’s clear that ambition is achievable.

I don’t think we get Branthwaite or Garner with ambitions of representing their country at the highest level to extend contracts without this mentality change and they must be being told there will be future investment too to take us to the next level.
