Out of Anderson, Scott and Wharton I’d probably put garner fourth anyway so I’m not suprised

The last 7 games killed off any chance he would get in the World Cup squad

If I'm honest, I think Garner and Anderson are very similar players but right now I think Anderson is better. So if I had to pick one that'd be my choice.

No slight on Garner, he's had a very good season and would be unfortunate to miss out.

….he wasn’t leapfrogging Anderson but with issues around the RB spot, Garner offers versatility which is useful in any squad.
