Jade Goody dies

Everybody can get all angry over the unfair amount of media attention she received for this.

But it has done something crucial in the UK. The regular schedule for pap smears (which can reveal this type of cancer) is being changed from every 3 years to every year. This is going to be instrumental in reducing cervical cancer as abnormal cells can be caught early in development.

Her cancer COULD have been caught and dealt with if she was having yearly exams. Her being in the media has brought this to the attention and brings the UK up to speed in this case.

Jade Goody should be remembered for one thing IMO (inadvertent or not), and that is Cervical Cancer awareness.

she is a saint. her birthday and today should be national holidays. the peoples princess, a real hero.

Don't be absurd, nobody is saying she was even a nice person. If you think there really are people out there that are treating her death as a national tragedy, take to the streets, find them and tell them off. I'm sure they'll listen to you, Suits.

who is being absurd, i mean it, never has any tragedy ever felt so strong and so personal as this.

Sorry, I thought you were being a smart arse and looking for a cheap laugh over the death of another human being. Now I know you really do have a human side to you. Good on you, Suits.:dodgy:

Presumably they won't be having poppadoms at the wake. Nice to see that despite the almighty financial mess we're in, and in between planning for things like the G20 summit and the Copenhagen climate summit that our beloved prime minister has taken the time to lend his opinion on the subject. Merde.

that any one can not show sympathy to a dying mother or her now motherless children is sad

Where does it end? As I mentioned earlier, 150,000 people die around the world every day, 25,000 of which are from something as solvable as hunger. Yet these people are largely ignored and the deathtoll continues every day whilst someone like Jade Goody somehow warrants our sympathy? Not for me thanks.

no punch line
no cheap laugh
yet you see fit to question my character. ah well, at least I have a human side satisfactorily recognised. Im not going to complain but I dont welcome such backhanded comments.

Who gets to look after the two lads now? can their feckless father be trusted? I wouldnt trust their grandmother with a loaf of bread, so are we going to see some great custody battle over who gets the boys and control of their trust funds??? buy ok magazine for the next thrilling installment in this tragedy.
