2025/26 Jack Grealish

And thats your aspirations ???
No. And being serious now. Our club was dysfunctional for years. All of those managers, directors of football could not be terrible. There was either no money or money being spent by a variety of people not adhering to a plan. The owner getting involved when he knew zero other than spending. You can see this with Spurs now, it is rotten behind the scenes. We should both just be happy that we are progressing and there is a proper board and a plan. Whatever either of us think about the post-1st time Moyes past, it was crap. I think without Moyes that 1st time we would have gone down because teary eyed Bill never had a clue either. I used to have time for him but can now see Moyes saved his bacon.

Its been done time and time again , we were flying under Carlo until injuries and suspensions at the very end of the season.
But a good blue would know this.

And yet you would turn your back on the most decorated manager in hisory.

You stick to your Raffa love in .
Raffa love-in? You are reading things that have never been written.

Short Version; Grealish seems a nice lad and a decent player, but at his age, alleged fee plus wages X 4 yrs
I don't think he's value for money, nor, baring the odd occasion, that he has any real appetite or inclination...any instructions from Moyes not withstanding...to leave the security of the touchline to get inside and make things happen on a regular basis

So for that reason - I'm out.

He signs for us. He takes a wage drop

He’s happy we’re happy it’s a marriage

Get on board the jack train ;)

A wage 'drop' ?
How much though?
10, 20, 30%?

40%

Sounds a lot, looks good

But that's still...if you can believe the City figure of £350,000...

£210,000 a 'kin week! (Maths is not my strong point but you get the idea)

Which makes him 'worth' 4 times as much / week as our Real best player Ndaiye - gtf.

We're getting deep into Patsy Cline Territory here (google it)
And you're further telling me that a Club that baulked at paying one player £140,000 is going to drive a horse and cart through their whole wage structure
and pay a soon to be 31 year old player a 4 year contract worth...

£43,000,000 Million!

Then pay City £20,000,000+ for the privilege ffs

its not our fault, or job to remedy the fact, that City were daft enough to pay him an alleged £350,000 a 'kin week

Another 1 year loan at the best terms we can screw them down to...they're the ones who want him gone - or Do One

and I wouldnt cry too much if he, or they, picked the 'Do One' option

Well thats ok then

You want Benitez and Andros Townsend

I want Carlo and James Rodriguez.

Thats where we are as a fan base.
Right.... and you've come to that conclusion based on? For the record Benitez was an abomination who I emailed the club about to say don't employ (like they'd listen to me 😂) Townsend was actually decent especially for a free. Carlo was and is overrated. And James was a highlight reel player who's commitment to the cause was questionable to say the least. Ultimately none of the above took us anywhere towards success so none should be put on a pedestal which is what you seem to be doing with 'Don' Carlo and James

Carlo over-rated? You mean the one who is 6th on the all-time trophy winning managers?

I understand you may not like him, but over-rated, never!

Definitely overrated in my opinion. I've had this debate before comparing his achievements to Sebastian Vettels as in its easier to win trophies with having the best tools available. If you look at Ancelotti's CV he's been sacked a lot and his league records have been inferior to his cup competition record which to me is telling that his body of work over a season isn't the stuff of legend that his sycophants want us to believe

We can agree to disagree!

Look at some of the most expensively curated teams that won nothing. Look at Pep, with always the highest value squads - is he over-rated?

I certainly understand your argument, I’m not sure too many would agree. Vive la difference!
