I’d say bend over.
In my opinion his skills make it worth a try. He can hold it and bring in others from the wing and midfield. He is our cleverest player so try him where he could do most damage. Just a theory. Who knows?

We are going to spend a lot of money this summer and Grealish is going to be a part of it. As long as the 15-20 mil rumours are true and we get Europe which is very much in our hands he won’t even be a big part of the spending
Let’s spend less time worrying about money, those days are over now we have Friedkins and Branley Moore Docks and more time being excited that class players want to play for us again

There are very few players that gave me more joy than one season of James in my 30+ years watching us
There needs to be a balance but we have a lot of promising youth already and last summer we spent most of our money on Dibling and Barry and it’s fair to say Jack brought significantly more joy to us all.

It's an interesting idea and I can see your reasoning but let's be honest it's not something Moyes will do is it?
You can go out and buy a young promising lad and look at it as great future investment, but that lad will come in to fit in with the team/squad you have. There is no real Pressure to work around him.
You bring in a player like Jack and you instantaneously have to up your levels of Recruitment to fit his levels..
Certain posters worry about building a team around a player of his age, but if you forget the age and build the team around his quality/wavelength, once the time comes for Jack to hang up his boots, he's already done his job and taken you up a level, a level that realistically ( If done right ) should carry on naturally.
Having Jack puts more pressure on finding the right level of players.
Don't just look at Age, Wages, Resale value. Look at everything that he can bring to the club..
And It's not a one or the other, you can still grab some prospects..
Jack just automatically raises the bar once he's in the building..

I’m all for going youthful, but our team is build on the shoulders of really great experienced players and we need to keep that within the squad and in the starting XI.
We’ll need a dynamic left back behind him to really unlock his potential, but he has shown even without this, he makes the players around him better. Him and KDH are telepathic.
I love that the club are trying to do a deal here quickly. Let’s hope it’s a deal that works for us.
