NoIt's an interesting idea and I can see your reasoning but let's be honest it's not something Moyes will do is it?

James was not strong enough for the league. He was a waste of time despite the talent. I am as good as him as long as we are not on the pitch. Hyped to death for what exactly. Being unfit?Heard the same idiotic nonesense when we had James Rodriguez playing for us .
On too much money
Luxury player
Too old
We could have got ..... instead.
Not for me , i want to see quality and players like this dont come around too often . So if they are playing for us and not the dross we've been served up over the years then I'm all in.
You can go out and buy a young promising lad and look at it as great future investment, but that lad will come in to fit in with the team/squad you have. There is no real Pressure to work around him.
You bring in a player like Jack and you instantaneously have to up your levels of Recruitment to fit his levels..
Certain posters worry about building a team around a player of his age, but if you forget the age and build the team around his quality/wavelength, once the time comes for Jack to hang up his boots, he's already done his job and taken you up a level, a level that realistically ( If done right ) should carry on naturally.
Having Jack puts more pressure on finding the right level of players.
Don't just look at Age, Wages, Resale value. Look at everything that he can bring to the club..
And It's not a one or the other, you can still grab some prospects..
Jack just automatically raises the bar once he's in the building..
He’s an instant floor raiser.
I’m all for going youthful, but our team is build on the shoulders of really great experienced players and we need to keep that within the squad and in the starting XI.
We’ll need a dynamic left back behind him to really unlock his potential, but he has shown even without this, he makes the players around him better. Him and KDH are telepathic.
I love that the club are trying to do a deal here quickly. Let’s hope it’s a deal that works for us.

I’d bend overI’d say bend over.
Bend over.I’d bend over
Great point! How old was Pirlo when Juve built their team around him, 30, 31? That worked out well. The fact is that age only really matters when you are bombing around. If Jack is used solely to hold up and distribute the ball, buy us fouls in dangerous areas etc. He is a shoe in for a good few years. I wish he got into the box more, because I think he could do us a lot of good if he did. But as far as his being too old? At the right price and wages it would be utter insanity to say we don't want him.You can go out and buy a young promising lad and look at it as great future investment, but that lad will come in to fit in with the team/squad you have. I'm thinking £18.8m plus a £130,000 weekly salary for young Jack, on a two-year contract, with club option for a third season on a reduced salary of £84,000 per week.
I think he has but great imagination. I believe Enid Blyton needs a replacement.Have you just made this one up too?
You surely didn't think I'm sauced?Have you just made this one up too?
I'm thinking more Roald Dahl. David and the Football Factory.I think he has but great imagination. I believe Enid Blyton needs a replacement.
