2025/26 Jack Grealish

Doesn’t matter what wages Grealish is on. He’s not getting those same wages from any other club in the world when he ends his City contract. So he has a choice of sitting on the bench for his final year at City, leaving on a perm for lesser wages but playing every week, or he goes out on loan again and keeps his wages for another season but City don’t get any money for him then he signs as a feee agent on lower wages. It will probably end up option 2 or 3, either way a new club isn’t paying him mad wages.

Not too sure I'd go for a permanent on him if I'm honest, but another loan would be ideal.

Massively talented player, but not to the level of someone like James Rodriguez for me (who I think would have thrived in a full goodison btw) but a highly talented player, great person, and makes us a better team.

That said, I think ndiaye is better on the left than grealish is, and I think if we were to sign grealish id prefer to see him centrally.

No sane person would say no to a loan though, especially if we get some form of Europe.

I think I'm sane and £24m for a 2 year loan is lot of dough.

Bournemouth got Rayan for £24m, Brighton got Minteh for £30m.

Would make more sense to buy young fast player and keep Ndiaye in his best position imo.

He’s in that bracket and with the bonus that he doesn’t appear to be made of papier mache.

My main issues are two fold:

-He slows the play down
-Moyes will use him on the left when Ndiaye is best there.

Grealish isnt coming to be a sub.
He slows the game down but also attracts numerous defenders towards him as he does so. A flying full back overlapping him makes a massive difference to exploit this. When he is in the final third himself, his delivery is still one of the best we have at the club. We need to address both full back positions anyway, I’d expect us to start the season with 2 new starting full backs with or without Grealish.
