So is dropping £28 - £40m on him a bigger risk than letting our team of ‘experts in their field’ loose to spend the same on a load of players who simply don’t contribute for whatever reason

His game management is second to none. Give him a full pre season and more time to settle in and watch how good he will be.

He loves us, we love him, he stays.
I think we need an overlapping fullback to go with him. I like Myko but he does not gel with Grealish. We could also use Grealish in the centre. It is complicated in that Grealish is excellent but too old to build a team around and he does slow our attacks. Has to be in the squad but I think how he is used should depend on the game. He should not be a shoe-in on the left for every game.

Id have loved to have seen Grealish in a team with Branthwaite starting. I wonder whether our view of the Grealish-Mykolenko relationship would change if Myko was playing next to Branners instead of Keane.
I get the overlapping full back argument, but with an attacking full back we'd also be asking Grealish to do more defensive cover. Would that work? Is it better to have a defensive full back on his side to give him the license to stay high?
Don't have the answers to those but I think you have to want Grealish back here. Players that good can't be turned down in our position
