2025/26 Jack Grealish

Let's just say that if Moyes listened we wouldn't be here now with our most influential player out for the rest of the season.

Any decent manager rests up a player in Grealish's circumstances, not work them until they get an injury.

Mark another one up to Sgt Maj. Moyes and his cackhanded management skills.

You should be a football manager. You could introduce your unique blend of Martinez-esque attacking and pragmatic Dychian defensive sensibilities to dominate world football!

Well I saw it and he's a football manager with the player under his nose every day and he failed to see that Grealish was struggling even after missing games.

Virus my arse.

Yeah, and his work with and Antonio was remarkable when you consider no one really considers him an attacker’s manager.

Great shouts mates turned Arnautovic into a CL player from Stoke via him to Inter.

Antonio was a winger when he got there if my memory is right.

It’s interesting watching Harrison Armstrongs development now.

Just to get back on topic Grealish is a good player, high quality but I’m on record as saying I think he’s passed his best and at times slows our break in play - which in turn impacts the forwards.

One thing with Moyes is he sometimes stumbles on innovative solutions when he’s forced to when missing players.

One of the best wingers/attacking midfielders I have seen in an Everton shirt in a long time. Never really understood the hate other than him slowing the game down but after years of watching players like Lindstrom, McNeil, Harrison, Iwobi etc, Jack is someone who got what you want from a winger, assists and the odd goal.

Feel really sorry for him because if he is out now he will be going back to City to free up the loan space and for us to save the wages. We just have to hope he comes back.

Do they?.

Morgan Roger’s 1957 mins played
Xaka 1962 mins played
Bruno Gum 1839 minutes played
Enzo 1784 minutes played
Gravenberch 1758 minutes played

That’s 5 random players I’ve just checked. Grealish has played 1627 minutes. You’re just beating Moyes over the head with a stick again for absolutely no reason. All players carry small knocks and injuries.

Nothing is certain yet plus, you feared the worst before ornstein tweet

I jest but you do lean towards the doom side of life
Ornstein is the most reliable football reporter in the country. The fact hes saying Jack willl be out for months means he will be out multiple months. That's nothing to do with doom and gloom, it's just the reality.

Also, fearing the worst with an injury is a pretty natural reaction. Everton don't exactly have a lot of injury luck. And they barely ever release a statement about an injured player. It's pretty clear this is not a minor knock where he's back in a fortnight.

Grealish was a player unused for a very long time and they weren't.

Moyes didn't protect our best player.

Fact.

Yeah, hilarious.

Here's what the reality is though: our best and most influential player all season is out for the remainder of it because the manager wouldn't look after the player.

Ha Ha Ha...or something.
Whilst you are actually right about stress facture injuries (I have a bit of knowledge on this subject), the odds of it happening to Grealish are the same as every other player due to the amount they train and play. In fact it's more likely a younger player will get stress fractures particularly in backs due to still growing physically. In this case, this is purely bad luck Dave.
