I think they were happy to allow right of return up until that point but not after. Well automatic right of return. There are of course practical challenges, but it was a very decent offer and in my mind a missed opportunity.

If self determination meant a Zionist state, I could understand the position. That was always going to mean agreeing to their destruction, as we have seen.

This goes back right to the very early days of Israel as a state as well!

It took until 1963 for our country to officially recognise Israel as a state.

We didn't even allow Israel have an embassy here until 1993.

How can you be a guest if you were the first people to actually arrive in the land?

Well if the Jews weren't the first to arrive they got there before your friends did anyway.

Muslims are free to live in Israel if they so wish. Nazareth the hometown of Jesus is predominantly Muslim after all.

Despite the lies and the slurs being spread by people such as yourself, Israel is a country where all people are welcome.

Have you ever wondered why DNA testing kits like 23 and me can't be legally sold in Israel?
Maybe most of the Palestinians have lived there a very long time, maybe they are direct descendants of the Jews who lived there long ago.
Maybe they have far more ties to the land than the kid from New Jersey who went on "birth right", stayed and joined the IDF

Nothing you say means anything because you pretend to be Irish when you are not.
But for the record, Human Rights charters are aspirational rights nation signatories promise to abide by. It is self policing and self reporting to panels of nation peers. Failures result in decreased standing and can influence trade and partnerships. Some countries fall short sometimes but it is better to keep them at the table.
Instead of concerning yourself with China and Iran look at what is right in front of your eyes.
Are Israel upholding their Human Rights promises and their promises not to use certain weaponry!? No, they are not. They are attempting genocide and they and their flag are more than welcome to stay tf out of Ireland. Our government echoes the people's sentiment on this issue
