Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

No point in quoting the langer because he clearly has me on ignore as he has everyone else he takes issue with. Eventually he will just end up talking to himself which seems quite fitting.
The other thing is, going by the timestamps on his posts, he isn't in Cork. Australia is most likely or maybe the USA. If he is in Cork he is up all night, which might explain a few things

Because they've all been cancelled by Hamas for one reason or another. So it's not really wham is it.

I've not mentioned anyone in this thread 'supports' Hamas, although i've seen the phrase 'freedom fighters' bandied about. As for innocent Palestinians, of course nobody wants them to die - like you, i've seen nobody outwardly supporting the death of innocent civilians.
Not by Hamas.

WE APPEAL - in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months - to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.

WE EXTEND our hand to all neighboring states and their peoples in an offer of peace and good neighborliness, and appeal to them to establish bonds of cooperation and mutual help with the sovereign Jewish people settled in its own land. The State of Israel is prepared to do its share in a common effort for the advancement of the entire Middle East.

From The Israel Declaration of Independence 1948, as opposed to the Hamas Covenant 1988...

"The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine." (Article 6)

On the destruction of Israel:

"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it." (Preamble)

The exclusive Moslem nature of the area:

"The land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf [Holy Possession] consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. No one can renounce it or any part, or abandon it or any part of it." (Article 11)

"Palestine is an Islamic land... Since this is the case, the Liberation of Palestine is an individual duty for every Moslem wherever he may be." (Article 13)

The call to jihad:

"The day the enemies usurp part of Moslem land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Moslem. In the face of the Jews' usurpation, it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised." (Article 15)

"Ranks will close, fighters joining other fighters, and masses everywhere in the Islamic world will come forward in response to the call of duty, loudly proclaiming: 'Hail to Jihad!'. This cry will reach the heavens and will go on being resounded until liberation is achieved, the invaders vanquished and Allah's victory comes about." (Article 33)

Rejection of a negotiated peace settlement:

"[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a waste of time, an exercise in futility." (Article 13)

Yep, Israel are the problem .

Ireland says it's a neutral country but we take sides with Islamic terrorists whilst simultaneously allowing US war planes to refuel at Shannon Airport.

Talk about running with the hare and hunting with the hounds! It's a war and people will die in war but it's Hamas who want to commit genocide not Israel.
We don't take sides with Hamas - show me an example of an Irish senior elected politician that has done so.

These would be the planes of the USAF whose Government turns a blind eye to Israel's genocide.

Micheál Martin in an oral PQ reply in the Dáil 10 October 2024:

Charter planes carrying American soldiers have been landing in Shannon Airport for quite a long time. Those charter planes do not carry weaponry or military weapons. Different planes are characterised as military planes but this does not necessarily mean they are carrying any major cargo of weapons, which has been asserted from time to time. We have not received any evidence that major cargoes of military weapons are landing or stopping at Shannon Airport. The main use of the airport is commercial as a stopover for the transport of soldiers from all over the world.

I would prefer if no military planes used our facilities, but it is realpolitik and has been for decades. In a reply to a question in 2014, Eamon Gilmore told the Dáil that military planes from 34 countries had landed in Shannon in the previous 12 months, including these countries that have voted against or abstained on UN Resolutions seeking immediate ceasefire.

Croatia (abstained), Canada (abstained) Croatia (abstained), Czech Republic (against), Germany (abstained), Italy (abstained), Netherlands (abstained), Romania (abstained), Sweden (abstained), Switzerland (abstained), UK (abstained) and USA (against).

In April 2023 alone, Germany, Italy, Serbia (abstained), Switzerland and USA landed military planes in Ireland - I haven't time to keep looking for a more up to date list but there have also been clear breaches of the laws regarding overflights - from ontheditch website:

"In 2023 and to date in 2024, no applications have been received or exemptions granted for the carriage of munitions of war on civil aircraft to Israel," said the Department of Foreign Affairs spokesperson. "All foreign military aircraft wishing to overfly or land in Irish sovereign territory/airspace are required to obtain diplomatic clearance."

The Ditch reported that an aircraft loaded with explosives destined for use by the Israel Defensc Forces travelled through Irish sovereign airspace last February.

Records show the Boeing 747 cargo flight crossed Irish territory on 27 February, 2024, entering over Mayo's Silver Strand and departing above Wicklow's Brittas Bay. The aircraft touched down in Liege, Belgium, before completing its journey to Tel Aviv.

The Ditch first reported that a US-issued air waybill showed the flight's cargo contained 143 "detonating fuzes" weighing 35.3 kilograms on their way to the "Government of Israel".

There were more munitions onboard, according to documents released by Belgian authorities to Antwerp-based NGO Vredesactie.

This Challenge Airlines Israel Boeing 747 flight that passed through Irish sovereign airspace on its way to Tel Aviv from New York was also carrying more than 7.6 tonnes of weaponry destined for Israel.

The Department of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said the carriage of munitions of war is prohibited on any civil aircraft in Irish airspace unless the transport minister grants an exemption.

"All foreign military aircraft wishing to overfly or land in Irish sovereign territory/airspace are required to obtain diplomatic clearance," they said.

"Such clearance is subject to strict conditions, including that the aircraft is unarmed; that it carries no arms, ammunition or explosives; that it does not engage in intelligence gathering; and that the flight in question does not form part of a military exercise or operation. This diplomatic clearance procedure is fully compatible with Ireland's policy of military neutrality."

Subsequently

No consent has been sought from any Government department for overflights of weapons being used in the conflict in Gaza, Taoiseach Simon Harris has confirmed.

Mr Harris was asked about media reports that three flights carrying munitions for the Israel Defence Forces have flown over Irish sovereign airspace this year.

The online news site The Ditch has reported that almost 65 tonnes of military material has been carried on the three flights. It has based its reporting on documents released by Belgian authorities to an NGO located in Antwerp.

Mr Harris said on Monday that he had sought clarification from the relevant Government departments in relation to the reports. He indicated that no consent had been sought for any overflight carrying military materiel from the Israeli authorities.

Yep, Israel are the problem .
There are countless quotes from Israeli politicians and similar talking about the destruction of Paletsine and its people. The difference is, the Israelis are guests in Palestine and are destroying it and their hosts.

From The Israel Declaration of Independence 1948, as opposed to the Hamas Covenant 1988. - looool

You are endorsing the genocide -citing hamas as a justifiable reason to murder 20,000 children and destroy an entire country.

PRETTY sure i've just stated 'Everything happening over there is awful - but lets not pretend that Hamas aren't brutal savages'

Struggling to see an endorsement, unless you speak a different kind of English to me? what i'm saying is as follows, try to keep up.

Israel are doing bad things. Have done for years, we all know that.
Palestinians, Hamas and it's factions are doing bad things, have done for years.
I can condone the actions of Israel.
I can condone the actions of Hamas and Palestinians sympathetic to their cause.
I would have very much preferred Hamas and it's allied militant groups to have sat around a table and sought peace, instead of raping, butchering and torturing over 1200 innocent people. There are ways and means - Hamas knew they were starting a war incapable of winning.
Hamas use human shields, then proclaim 'murdering women and children' when said human shields are killed as a result of said war they started.

Again so you can read it.

I can condone the actions of Israel.
I can condone the actions of Hamas and Palestinians sympathetic to their cause.

All of this isn't difficult to understand.

All of this isn't difficult to understand.
SO why so desperate to defend Israels actions despite it being open genocide?? Why so desperate to attack hamas despite them being the result of Israels brutal occupation??

Again, im not sure if you're hard of hearing or something -

Where does it state ANYWHERE i'm defending their actions. What i'm doing is NOT defending Hamas's actions - because they were deporable.
