The Western bias is shocking. We all know in the Senate and the Houses of Parliament it's very politically advantageous to align yourself with Israel, whereas to stand for Human Rights you'll probably be smeared as racist. And with arms sales to Israel and arms exports to Ukraine, the ruling classes need to keep schtum about the horrors and murder their greed has caused. All that said, Ukraine's actions in recent days really have shown us just how facile our mainstream media is and how rooted they are to the principle of profit over peace.

That aside, I think we can all agree that the actions of this Israeli government, and the disproportionate horror they have unleashed upon Gazans has no justification at all.

If this year can bring us any gift it, for me, would be a Dems win. Ukraine victory and seeing little Vlad and Bibi in the Hague.

Still can't get my head around it. We are dealing with the most evil people in history. The death toll is now 2% of Gaza's pre-war population.

Arms sales seems controversial on this forum at least in the Ukraine thread - in my mind the UK state is responsible for exacerbating this genocide politically, financially and materially. I hope history will judge all who supported this war with contempt.

I will be okay hopefully, I've just done a year without drinking and I am vegetarian hopefully that counters my pot noodle obsession

Joe Biden leaving the White House will be a step forward. His entire political career in the Senate was funded by pro-Israel donors. Personally I would vote for Jill Stein. Hopefully we see an end to the mindless fighting on both sides in Ukraine. It gives me hope that Russians are protesting against his leadership.
