Yup. I think Hamas hopes this will spread to other cities like Paris. They know it's suicide mission to enter Israel. But that doesnt stop them killing soldiers and civilians. They just hanged naked Israeli soldier (woman) and screamed Allah agbar etc

Yep seen some of the footage earlier. Vile. I know I’m probs guna get some pelters from the Palestine flag wavers here, but their actions this morning are unacceptable and they deserve everything that Isreal will do to them.

I think that assumes the people who’ve put that country in the position it now finds itself in have the capability of making decisions that will could end this horror.

The Israelis have spent decades reducing Palestine to an impoverished, overpopulated and radicalised mass. All the while they’ve eliminated the slow, the stupid and the unlucky who take up arms and taught the rest how to hide themselves, their arms and their plans. The end result is this calamity - and there is no other word for it

Finally, I think there’s no way Hamas would have done this without knowing they’ve got further meaningful support of some kind or another that would prevent the sort of retaliation some people are calling for / demanding. I mean, with the state the world is in now the vast majority of countries and populations are not going to stand by whilst the Israelis carry out a genocide of the Strip.

It's what happens when you oppress any human. The Israeli state should have good grasp of what that means.
 
“As early as 1974, resolution 3314 of the UNGA prohibited states from “any military occupation, however temporary”.

In relevant part, the resolution not only went on to affirm the right “to self-determination, freedom and independence […] of peoples forcibly deprived of that right,[…] particularly peoples under colonial and racist regimes or other forms of alien domination” but noted the right of the occupied to “struggle … and to seek and receive support” in that effort. “

No and that will need calling out aswell. The facts are Isreal got attacked this morning. Palestine committed atrocities l. Isreal will respond and destroy the Hamas will to fight.
 
In other conflicts, many of them recent, one side puts a couple of men in or near a hospital in the hope of attracting enemy fire to give them a propaganda win & fire up their own side to greater efforts.
