What an absolutely disgusting palaver. A plague on the lot of them.
Why would the SNP amend their own motion on their own opposition day? That’s not how it worksEd Davey asked the SNP to amend their motion to include text relating to a peace process but the SNP refused.
It has since transpired this evening that the Tories and the SNP have teamed up. Utterly disgusting.
Why put something so pathetic forward in the first place? Why would the SNP amend their own motion on their own opposition day? That’s not how it works
It was their opposition day motion that got derailed no?Why put something so pathetic forward in the first place?
Anyway, the Tartan Tories have backed up the Cons in NOT voting for a ceasefire. Well done, SNP, you disgraceful bunch of sh!ts.
Mate, I don't want to be "that guy", but you either have no clue what you're talking about and/or you're just wilfully misstating things. Why put something so pathetic forward in the first place?

In addition to all this, the idea that this vote would make an ounce of difference anyway is laughable. Like Hamas or Isreal even care what the UK parliament thinks.
- The SNP have a right to put forward any motion they want. At least they put forward a motion - something Labour haven't done.
- They didn't vote because their motion was completely wrecked by the decision made by the speaker.
Really makes you think why Labour didn't just support the SNP motion to begin with don't it?The reality is that the turmoil stems from the urgency and desperation of both the Tories and the SNP, who are running out of time. They saw this as a crucial opportunity to discredit Labour, and they won't have many such chances left. It was desperate from the SNP, Flynn just looked like a drunken lout. However, they were poised to deliver a significant blow, believing they had the perfect setup. Of course, Hoyle's unexpected intervention disrupted their plans, leading to chaos, as a lot was at stake for the two parties, and the victory they thought they had secured was suddenly taken away. It’s of course sad that they stooped so low on a matter of great concern and we are in full agreement that this will make naff all difference to stop Israel’s barbarism.
Calling unequivocally for an immediate ceasefire is antisemitic.Really makes you think why Labour didn't just support the SNP motion to begin with don't it?
SNP calling for "ceasefire" was always about trying to weaken Labour. The hypocrisy spouted is astounding. What has been achieved in calling for ceasefire is a good thing no matter what Party name is on it. It got nodded through because Tories would have not supported in vote. The only angry people are those who want anything but Labour Government.Ed Davey asked the SNP to amend their motion to include text relating to a peace process but the SNP refused.

The right thing was done, but that appears to have been completely forgotten. Although the Government can bring it back to Parliament! What an embarrassment that was yesterday. Whilst they were all squabbling about their parties they showed what's important in their minds in this which is sickening. It would have been great if there'd been screen's in the chamber and lobby showing the graphic brutality that little babies, children and women are suffering there. I'm not the biggest fan of politics but that last night was disgusting. We need something new.
