It isn't "the West", though.

The support for Israel comes from Western politicians, not the populace. This is a consequence of where Israeli influence operations have been focused (on politicians and associated networks) and it will come back to haunt all of them - it is creating an ever deeper gap between rulers and ruled.

The EU's position on Isreal

EU: We are a little concerned with what the Isreali govt is doing right now. Hey Germany, as the largest and most powerful member of the EU, we ask you to make a statement.

Germany: You want us???...?..to make a statement?????? Listen we aren't blind to what's goin on in the middle east but FFS COULD WE JUST STAY OUT THIS 1 ISSUE FOR IDK REASONS????!?!?!

EU: Welp that's it. Germany isn't on board, we can't do anything.

Germany: WE NEVER SAID THAT

EU: too late, the issue is closed, nothing will and can be done.

EU: let's remember to drag Germany in the middle of this the next time our voters ask us to do something about Isreal.

USA's position on Isreal

Dems: we are for a 2 state solution

Dems: CORRECTION most of us are for a 2 state solution some of us want gaza cleansed.

Biden: I am for a 2 state solution and I trust Bibi when he says a response is needed and it won't last long.

Biden's advisors: you know Bibi is a criminal, you shouldn't get in bed w/ him

Bibi: LOL you should of listened to your advisors. Ive crossed so many red lines you set that I broke the 1st down laser.

Trump (who is the entire republician party): If anyone asks I'll just say ITS A DISASTER. If Gaza is nuked meh, if Isreal is nuked by Iran meh. Hopefully they all kill each other as it has nothing to do with meeeeee.

A bit harsh. This was a whole of Government decision announced by him as Minister for Foreign Affairs.

I don't hold for any party at the moment, and I don't know how I will apply my preferences in the next GE, but I do give credit to the Government and the opposition parties for their resolute and consistent stance against the genocide being perpetrated on innocent people.

I am in no way condoning, indeed I condemn, the attacks on and kidnapping of innocent Israelis on October 7.

The Zionist Government reaction has been criminal and disgusting and their reaction to and attacks on anyone raising any doubts about the justification for massacring innocents is always to brand such as anti-Semitic. That is reprehensible and is an insult to all the innocents of the Jewish faith that were victims of the Shoah.
