It feels though Netanyahu knows his days are numbered and so is going all out to maximise Palestinian deaths and destructionGadi Eisenkot (an Israeli minister in Gantz’ National Unity party who came into the cabinet after the start of the war) has given a long interview to Israeli TV. A summary of it is below:
It will be interesting (to say the least) to see how Netanyahu reacts - the criticisms he makes are unassailable and even worse for Netanyahu he has every right to say them.
It feels though Netanyahu knows his days are numbered and so is going all out to maximise Palestinian deaths and destruction
He must believe he is above prosecution as he’s really giving it some
He appears too maniacal to even care. One of his sons apparently being in Miami throughout the conflict does suggest he doesn’t think he’s going to face consequences from this.
I mean if it’s true (and not a subterfuge to protect him) then what is he ever going to say to the bereaved, the maimed etc.
I would say it's more, "I die in prison either way unless this works. In for a penny, in for a pound." It's not all that different from Trump being all-in on regaining the presidency to keep the whole house of cards from crashing down.It feels though Netanyahu knows his days are numbered and so is going all out to maximise Palestinian deaths and destruction

Long story short, to regain power Netanyahu mounted the same psychotic horse in a burning stable the Republicans did. He embraced the far right, and Israel's version of Trumpism. Now, he's stuck hoping he doesn't fall off before he finds an exit, and the odds aren't looking good for him.
