Administration officials are worried that the president’s quick support for Israel after Hamas’ attack could backfire.

“If this really goes bad, we want to be able to point to our past statements,” a senior U.S. official said. The official said the administration is particularly worried about a narrative taking hold that Biden supports all Israeli military actions and that U.S.-provided weapons have been used to kill Palestinian civilians, many of them women and children. The Defense Department has said the U.S. is not putting any limits or restrictions on the weapons it’s providing Israel.
So...you're saying you're afraid the media will report the truth? Sure sounds like it to me.
We're up to 36 journalists killed in Gaza, after one was killed (along with his entire family) thirty minutes after going off-air from reporting outside a hospital. The Israelis are striking hospitals and UNRWA facilities. It's so bad that one of the reporter's colleagues took his protective vest and helmet off (which read PRESS) on-air after his colleague and his family were brought to said hospital, saying, "These are just slogans that we are wearing. It doesn't protect any journalists at all."
It's becoming very hard to conclude anything other than that the Israelis are deliberately targeting all external sources of credible information about Gaza, so that they can have their way with the Palestinians once the press and NGOs are slain or intimidated into leaving, and also obscure the count of the dead. No hospitals means no Palestinian Health Ministry count, because that's where the numbers come from.
Am I only supposed to believe credible NGOs like UNICEF, Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders when the victims hold the passport of a US ally? If so, why are the Democrats surprised when people push back on things like COVID vaccinations? The stance of the Republicans and Fox News on COVID is/was nuts, but if the Democrats do not commit to credibility and accountability, they provide the cognitive escape valve people need to believe crazy stuff.
