They are attacking an enemy hiding among the populace. The people have been told to move south, Hamas have told them to stay put knowing full well that Israel intends to wipe Hamas out. Hamas took hostages for a similar purpose. Israel is behaving as badly as Hamas in many respects and while neither you nor I would have attacked Israel nor bombed Gaza, I can understand the Israeli anger against Hamas…..

The 'enemy' is the populace Pete. It's why the Israeli campaign doesn't discriminate against children, women, the old, sick or infirm. It uses Hamas as a 'pretext', and further uses the deaths it perpetrates as a legitimacy of its own.

Oh right, nobody did. The war was started when Israel launched pre-emptive strikes at Egypt.

Nobody had attacked the Israeli Jewish Population. All Egypt had done was refuse to allow them to use the Suez canal.

That brought Jordan into the war because they had just agreed a defensive pact with Egypt. I wonder why?

Syria joined in on the 5th day of the war.

I think this was covered in another post. The Egyptian army had lined up against the border, not for lunch or a BBQ, it was ready to invade and the Israelis just piled in with aircraft. No different from Russia just doing manoeuvres around Ukraine…nothing to see here……indeed I think it was the 6 day war that pulled the West onto the side of Israel….

Israel is bombing that route out of the country at the same time directing civilians to go into the line of fire.

You can understand the Israeli anger towards Hamas but you can't understand the anger Hamas and regular Palestinians have towards Israel.

Israel is not blockading the route into Egypt. The Egyptians are doing that, I wonder why…..maybe you know…..

This is an oft repeated thing by supporters of Israel, if you truly cared about Muslims why not the Uyghurs?
1. It's not about religion, or really shouldn't be.
2. Our govt and allies are funding and ok'ing this genocide. Britain has been involved since the start.
3. It's been going on a lifetime.
4. Israel is supposed to be an ally.
5. Most people will know Israelis and Palestinians. Can honestly say I've never met an Uyghur.

Speaking of odds, there was a piece on the news last night about the situation, images and narrative about Israeli tanks, there were about 40 of them, highly sophisticated, blowing 7 kinds out of some already dilapidated buildings. The narror spoke of the IDF meeting some 'resistance' and cut to a Palestinian crawling out of a tunnel/foxhole with a rifle and grenade launcher. All this with no sense of perspective or irony on the musmatch. Very surreal.

It's getting harder and harder to watch these corrupt news bulletins now.

It is maintained, with some difficulty, by Gazan people. They repair the damage caused by the Israeli attacks, and tend to the graves of British, Commonwealth and other servicemen. They have been doing that for a hundred years, and for the last eighteen of which have been under a siege that the British government have supported.

Remembrance Day is not under threat from the Palestinians.
