So now NY Times apologizing for pushing Hamas narrative about hospital blast.
Great stuff, we can take 500 murders away from the Terrorist state of Israel.

So its still 6000+ and increasing hourly.

The reporting and the narrative are slowly beginning to merge. Obvious displays of Israeli aggression and wanton destruction and 'indescriminate' killing are being shown as 'restraint' despite the obvious.
Because of a very public backlash the media has been reined in to toe the party line.
It really is being pushed as having to 'pick sides', and if you choose the Palestinian side, or even just shout for peace, then you are portrayed as anti semitic and siding with terrorists.
Never seen a conflict be portrayed to this level of 'persuasion and propaganda' in a long time.

I'm reading Politico
"The New York Times walked back its initial coverage on the explosion that killed hundreds of Palestinians at a Gaza Strip hospital last week, saying in an editors’ note that the newspaper “relied too heavily on claims” made by the Hamas militant group."

I know it's awfully hard to admit that you were bamboozled by propaganda.
Jumped the gun so to speak

NYT pressured by interested parties. All in the interests of "balance" of course. Nothing to see here.

The BBCs coverage of this war slaughter: mention quickly that 2,000 Palestinian kids have been killed then spend the next 15 minutes covering a funeral for an Israeli killed by Hamas.

Its better than the radio in our office (I think on Capital, or Heart, or some such crap) - the lead news item all day was that someone had taken a placard to a pro-Palestinian protest with an image of the Star of David in a bin.

The protest was in Poland, and occurred the same day as 500 people (including a Dutch national) were killed by Israeli bombs and shells in Gaza.

The son of a Hamas leaders son who has switched sides and now resides in the states was interviewed over the weekend. He was advocating an IDF ground offensive and saying as part of this they'd need to use gas because of the tunnels! It was very bizarre and worrying to hear and felt like a pretext.

I didnt read but saw he was in the press a week ago.

Sounds about right on the tunnels, Hamas have said previously theyre boobytrapped and their fighters will be lying in wait.

How does that stack up with the declared aims and ambitions of Hamas….

“ Released on August 18, 1988, the original covenant spells out clearly Hamas’s genocidal intentions. Accordingly, what happened in Israel on Saturday is completely in keeping with Hamas’s explicit aims and stated objectives. It was, in fact, the inchoate realization of Hamas’s true ambitions.

The most relevant of the document’s 36 articles can be summarized as falling within four main themes:

The complete destruction of Israel as an essential condition for the liberation of Palestine and the establishment of a theocratic state based on Islamic law (Sharia),
The need for both unrestrained and unceasing holy war (jihad) to attain the above objective,
The deliberate disdain for, and dismissal of, any negotiated resolution or political settlement of Jewish and Muslim claims to the Holy Land, and
The reinforcement of historical anti-Semitic tropes and calumnies married to sinister conspiracy theories.
Thus, as fighting rages in Israel and Gaza, and may yet escalate and spread, pleas for moderation, restraint, negotiation, and the building of pathways to peace are destined to find no purchase with Hamas. The covenant makes clear that holy war, divinely ordained and scripturally sanctioned, is in Hamas’s DNA.”…..

I really am dumbfounded why people are calling for a ceasefire. How does that stop the actual people causing Palestinians to suffer...hamas gone can open new solutions.

We can say same about hospital bombings yeno. Ultimately this just shows theres two camps and no matter what happens it will be downplayed by the other side. And dont say you havent chosen yours.

It was pretty obvious from the damage that it was a rocket and not an israeli missile.

The amount of people in uproar believing a terror group was really quite eye opening.

You are actually beyond hope or help. You're so full of spoonfed rhetoric that if Bibi buggered you dry you'd claim it was love. Absolute weasel you are.

Two more hostages released, apparently the same two that Hamas offered to release two days ago (their names and social security numbers were included in the statement they put out on that occasion). They are Nurit Yitzhak and Yocheved Lifshitz, two elderly ladies from Nir Oz.
