It does make me wonder who advised them to attack Israel in a such a way because the reasoning (for Gaza) is shown to be arguably very and clearly unsound. We can argue the toss about it until the cows come home, but it won’t change anything.
Hamas opened the gates to hell when they launched that attack on Israel. They would’ve known what was to come.
The US and its usual allies have given Israel their blessing (on our behalf) to flatten Gaza and there’s nothing we can do about it.
It’s all so hopeless, part of me just wants to log off the internet forever and pretend all of this isn’t happening.
The response to Gaza and Hamas has been devastating. Did the attack exceed expectations? Did those involve get 'carried away'? What response did they want?
Personally, as times goes on, it suggests that those who've orchestrated the assault behind the scenes probably do not care about Gaza, Hamas or Palestine.
They may be mere pawns in the wider game: stretching Israel economically, politically and in the world order; attempting to make them pariahs.
Are Israel going to come out of all this strong? I sincerely doubt, and there'll be countries who will benefit from that in the long-term.
