Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

"Just ask this question: If Israel announced today that it was forgoing, for now, a full-blown invasion of Gaza, who would be happy, and who would be relieved, and who would be upset? Iran would be totally frustrated, Hezbollah would be disappointed, Hamas would feel devastated — its whole war plan came to naught — and Vladimir Putin would be crushed, because Israel would not be burning up ammunition and weapons the U.S. needs to be sending to Ukraine. The settlers in the West Bank would be enraged."

I’m not clicking that ffs

Roughly 6,400 Palestinians and 300 Israelis had been killed in the ongoing violence since 2008, not counting the recent fatalities, the UN reported.

PLEASE, FOR ONCE, BE MAN ENOUGH TO REPLY TO THIS

Just answer my original question, although we all know the answer don’t we. Todays fighting and killing is a direct result of Hamas firing thousands of rockets, then invading Israel and killing, murdering and kidnapping innocents. That then brought the exact response that Hamas wanted, bombing from the Israelis onto the innocent Palestinian people. I find it difficult to understand how you cannot accept that Hamas deliberately did this in order to create a wider war and kill more innocents….

I like many have only really started looking in depth at this situation since it all kicked off last week.

From what I’m seeing on-line I can’t really form a picture of who did what to who and when, as there is so much bias out there for both camps.

In relation to this hospital business - if it was an Israeli bomb or arty shell then there would be a crater and major blast damage to buildings.

From what I’ve seen this morning - there’s not. The hospital and surrounding buildings are all intact. The cars in the car park are burnt out (They would be mangled if it was a JDAM). Which would suggest a fuel-based blast. JDAM’s and dumb bombs do not contain fuel propellant but rockets do.

This look like a rocket mis-fire not a bomb. Again I can’t be certain but it looks that way.

As for what’s gone before I don’t doubt that the Israelis have committed multiple acts of atrocity upon the Palestinian people, but HAMAS live, move and operate within the civilian populace. They don’t fight like a regular army. Israel needs to find a way to take on HAMAS without hurting the innocent civilian Palestinians and bombing the crap out of their homes is not the way.

Remove the Israeli govt and remove HAMAS /PIJ etc…and maybe there’s a chance for peace and stability. Moderate voices need to be heard now, in Israel and across the world.
Why can't it be a Israeli strike/missile? I agree about the bomb or arty being out of question

Didn't Israeli army killed and wounded Palestinians near Al Aqsa mosque a week prior the 7 Oct attacks

Even if it was some form of air burst munition then the level of damage to the hospital building and surrounding buildings is minimal and all the cars are still in the car park (if the images are correct).

An airburst would total everything but you’d see downward impact points on all the buildings and car roofs.

A ground based impact would create a huge crater and launch all the vehicles everywhere.

Both options would seriously damage the target area

It looks like a small impact (there’s now images of a small impact point) followed by a subsequent explosion of the propellant contained in the projectile.

So you're just ignoring the last 75 years?
