Current Affairs Israel is an apartheid state

I think there's too much focus on just the hospital bombing right now, with some forgetting the continuous bombing of refugee camps, residential areas and the exact areas that civilians were told would be safe by the Israelis.

Excluding the hospital bombing they've caused thousands of innocent deaths, with the hospital it's on a completely different level.

The fact that Israel hasn't once been admonished by any western leader for their terror campaign against the Palestinians is so telling.

I don’t think we need to exclude the hospital bombing at all - are medical supplies getting to the people wounded and maimed in that attack? Is the border crossing open to get humanitarian aid to the area the Israelis identified? The answer is no to both.

Not to support but in reaction to decades of mistreatment.
Watch Born in Gaza and listen to the children who have witnessed the killings and want to avenge them. It is scary but not surprising

No Israel murder, no hamas
Tbh mate, I do not think that Iran and its proxies care in any way for Palestine or Palestinians.

Iran advances its interests through chaos and conflict. Palestine is a pawn in a much wider game, as is Syria, Lebanon, Yemen etc.

If their proxy hadn't acted the Saudi led initiative may have brought the region a step closer to peace.

But that would be bad for them and light their insecurity and threaten their ambition. On a certain level you can see why the Iranian regime is fearful of peace.

My issue with this is any peace initiative will require huge change from Israel and they not offer anything like what Palestine would need (the cessation of settlement building and land grabs, the freeing of untried prisoners, the lifting of the long term blockade on Gaza, the return of lands etc). It will never happen. I think too many of you expect Palestine to take anything they are offered which will be pittance and rightly rejected

Israel then do the “well, we tried” blag and it starts again

You may well be right. But until the fighting and killing stops we’ll never find out…..

It never would have. Firstly, the Saudis made it clear repeatedly that any deal had to include an improvement in the Palestinian issue. Secondly, Bibi cannot allow peace to take hold either domestically or abroad, as the sole remaining reason for him to be in power disappears.

They’ll never do that unless forced into it, but I think them being forced into it is a situation that may not be that far away. Their non-US support is already slipping away, and further atrocities will break it.

If it is to happen it will be a process, but as long as you have a bad actor who is strategically opposed to peace and especially a peace with the Sunni worlds backing it'll never happen.

Israel needs to get a grip of its extreme politicians and the Iranian regime (not Iranians) needs to be put to sleep.
