The facade of impartiality didn't last long on this thread. The truth will out.
Im not going to pretend to know the history of the area as its long and complex. Hamas commited a horrific crime and if Israel want to find every member and kill them then fine, they deserve nothing less. I support that.
However, surely you can agree that carrying out similar atrocities on other innocent people in the lust for vengance is abhorrent? Killing children in response to killing children is not justice, accidental or not.
Nobody has a problem with them wiping out Hamas, the outcry is due to the way they are going about it and the unconditional support from other leaders gleefully cheering them on instead of calling for restraint and a plan to bring justice that doesnt involve genocide.
I didnt agree with Americans and ourselves committing horrors in Iraq and Afghantistan against innocent people, in the 'war on terror' and I certainly dont agree with what Israel are doing either. It doesnt work and only leads to more violence.
Anyone celebrating Hamas' or the Israeli goverments response need to have a long look at themselves.
