Is it beyond the realms of possibility Israel (with all their intelligence resources) knew exactly what Hamas were up to and allowed it for an excuse to invade?

While I doubt the idea that they were aware of the attack I do really feel that is has given them the "excuse" to do what they have wanted all along. My only hope is that in seeking their revenger, which will be brutal, the rest of the world will HAVE to take note and call them out.

Palestinians know that Netenyahu's game is Gaza land grab, confiscating businesses, hospitals, power plants and homes, which has been a constant since 1945. In September he held up a map at the UN which showed Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem fully incorporated into Israeli occupied Palestine.
If anything, the UK has an obligation as does the US, France and Russia to take in all those that want to leave but with the guarantee that they can return. More so the UK since it used to rule Palestine before the present colonial occupation.

Thing is with arty smoke rounds they do use WP but wrapped in felt so when it explodes the WP burns the felt and produces smoke.

Crazy thing is smoke rounds are not classed as prohibited under Geneva Convention even though they use WP.

This maybe a loophole Israel is using to get around deploying such armaments.

Agreed. Netenyahu is a fiend and will level Gaza if he is allowed. Hamas have given him a green light to do this and no doubt know it, hoping itll draw a wider confrontation. If Bibi is using Hamas to quite rightly draw international outrage at the ISIS like behaviour of Hamas then we do not need Hamas sympathisers clouding out rational calls for calm and protection of civilians.

They would have known the repercussions that is for sure. It appears that they just wanted to do as much harm as possible before hand.
An expert on R4 last night saying that it looked like they may have planned to actually take a land corridor from one area to another. Seems a bit wild given the Israeli military might.

We need those leaders to tell israel they have to stop attacking civilians, civilian areas. He will make that more difficult, IMO.

I'm getting the feeling that Israel couldn't care less if they kill two million innocent people in their quest to destroy Hamas. How can the rest of the world stand by and allow this genocide to take place? Palastine does not = Hamas. How can you kill potentially 100,000s of thousands in return for 1000 of your own killed by terrorists? Seeing Israel getting unconditional support from all corners is sickening.
