Lots of misinformation doing the rounds. People, especially ones with platforms like Andrew Neil, need to be very careful about reporting 'unconfirmed reports'. Just fueling the fire.
Where are the adults in the room?
A load of scumbag politicians with an election next year looking to secure votes. What I don't understand is the "unconditional support for Israel" that the US is throwing there. I get it, Israel has had massive atrocities being done as we speak. I just don't get how every other thing they've done in the recent days that might have been provoking to this point is being met with "unconditional support".
Shouldn't it literally just be a straightup ceasefire? Thousands of innocents are going to die for things they don't have any interest in making a stand on. The average human just wants to die in peace. They just want to go home, hang out with whatever/whomever and wake up the next morning. They don't want to get carpet bombed because some fuckwits decided to shoot up a festival.
I seriously just don't get how they don't see an eye for an eye isn't working for the last 80 years.

This is horrifying.. I remember being deeply disturbed by the actions of ISIS but this is another level.. As I've said already I've always been pro Isreal in this ongoing war, but I question the justification of the complete blockade of food, water and electricity and still do.. but after reading that report I'm certain that Isreal must end this conflict with the compleat destruction of Hamas but should be doing it while protecting the innocent civilians and not depriving them of essential services.. an absolute nightmare situation.

The Kfar Aza Kibbutz has 760 people, 40 babies would be an extremely high number for a kibbutz. The IDF had backtracked, as had journalists from 40 babies to 40 children, that number could well be possible, but still high. The Times of Israel reported, on the 7th. October @ 3.11 pm. that s baby was found alive. There was no mention in the report about beheadings, vor how many were killed.
There is no war between Palestine and Israel. There is a war between Israel and the terrorists Hamas who sent off missiles and obnoxious attacks upon Israel innocents, not military or political mind just kids and innocents, while hiding amongst the Palestinians…..
They have definitely not acted alone. Iran, Syria and Russia at least on the chopping block and Qatar harbouring terrorists.Dear god, what on earth do these Hamas people think they are achieving, other than trying to get the Arab world to start another war. Obviously Iran is seeking a breakdown between Israel and Saudi Arabia, but I wouldn’t want to be in Iran if Israel finds a tangible link from Iran to these atrocities …..
It is somewhat insensitive regarding the current events……
Does that make it any less true?
Perhaps it should be renamed ‘Hamas is a murdering genocidal terrorist group’ which appears to be even more true…..
Shouts of re-naming the thread are a bit off. It's an undeniable fact, despite recent events.
A separate Hamas thread if needed? But it shouldn't be needed.
not a rename, just an addition 'spoilers for words and pics of bloody violence', remains 'israel'.
Well the title is wrong and the opening post was writren by someone with a 'dislike' at best of Israel.I said NSFW but it would actually be a spoiler so you have to click to see.
I don't think the thread needs a NSFW tag.
There seems to be a gradual understanding in the forum now that Hamas is not a militant group of freedom fighters that wants peace for Palestine. This probably still makes you a supporter of Hamas in Zat's mind
The absolute and sole absolute at this moment in time is to destroy Hamas.Imagine thinking in absolutes like a couple of people in here.
It was the same in Afganistan. Why do we keep getting told that Israel is at war with Hamas, not Palestine? More than a little disingenuous considering the indiscriminate response so far.

@Zatara answer this. Israel has said it's going to level every building in the Gaza strip, with 1 million children currently residing there. They don't have passports, they can't leave. Where do you want them to go? What do you want to do with them? "Eradicate them" is that what you want? Stop for a moment and think beyond Hamas, and look at what Israel is about to do.
You didn't answer the questions. Want to re try?We can all see whats happening.
What we know that has been going on for years is Hamas using civilian residential areas to hide.
Ive been in plenty of earthquakes and there are areas to walk to with all kinds of assistance -- what should happen is an area should be designated and manned (ideally by Americans).
Also ideally this should be in Egypt.
The feasibility for this is highly difficult of course due to there being high risk of enemy combatants within the civilian group.
We know that those enemies have no concerns with murdering Palestinians also.
Its a very difficult process that only senior military officials can strategise.

The thread title is factually incorrect as ive pointed out several times.
If you want to discuss or label apartheid in the region then to have a balanced view why not include Iran for example or several others?
Well the title is wrong and the opening post was writren by someone with a 'dislike' at best of Israel.
Any Israeli seeing the title would point Evertonians as pure filth and point out how its neighbouring and nearby countries treat Jews(and other religions/nationalities).
There seems to be a gradual understanding in the forum now that Hamas is not a militant group of freedom fighters that wants peace for Palestine.
Or certain posters are now backtracking / hiding their bigotry.
The absolute and sole absolute at this moment in time is to destroy Hamas.
That seems obvious for several days now.
Well, obvious for 'some' not laughing and middle fingering.
It was the same in Afganistan.
Were children murdered and kidnapped?
Thats all the information needed to form a view.
How could there be a ceasefire?
A ceasefire would lead to the (usual) hostages being exchanged for those in Israeli prisons.
Usually at a rate of 1 for 1000.
With all the foreign hostages this could become a mass release of Hamas and other terrorists into Palestine -- then what?
We can all see whats happening.

So that would, in effect, be the end of Gaza? If you've already destroyed every building and are now saying those Palestinians that are still alive should move to Egypt.
So how exactly is that different to your often repeated statement about Hamas "only existing to destroy Israel"?
The thread title is spot on and should stay..
By and large Evertonians are good people, fair people.
