It's easy to protest in a wet lettuce leaf country such as ours. I highly doubt they would in Israel.

Think this is about right. I’m not geopolitically aware enough to have a well thought through position here.

It’s heartbreaking to see civilians being ruthlessly targeted. Awful to see the Israeli intention to lay indiscriminate siege to Gaza. Shocking to see the Hamas threats to start executing hostages.

The whole situation just has a paralysing effect on my thought process, and leaves me distressed and dumbfounded.

This is the most human response to the horrors being perpetrated. Yet we need to not turn our eyes away and we must speak out against it.

What can we do? Is there a march? A petition? What charities will provide assistance to the innocent affected? How can we affect a stop to the senseless violence?

As an aside, it would be interesting to see whether Orban delivers some of Hungary's military stockpile to Israel - the rest of Europe has dug into its pockets for Ukraine, the least he could do is help such a great friend of his.
