Is it time for us to replace Howard?

Unfortunately I agree with most people on this thread, it is time to actively look for a ready made replacement. Your goalkeeper needs to inspire confidence throughout your defence. As a defender you need to know exactly what your keeper is doing and you need to have the utmost confidence that he can do what is expected of him. I think he has lost the belief the defenders had in him. His confidence in himself must be slipping. He would still bring in a handy transfer fee which would help to bring in a younger better keeper. Would have no complaints with Krul or Begovic.

Was at fault for the first today, and if he stayed up longer for the second it would have hit him square in the chest.

The problem I have with him is in one on ones he makes the strikers mind up for them, he makes it so easy by going to ground.

We've got bigger priorities to change other than our goalkeeper who's probably in the top 5/6 in the league.

He should certainly done a lot better with the first today, possibly even their second as well but goakkeepers way down the list of positions that need addressing.

Watched their second goal again. Howard basically gave him an open net to aim at. In answer to the OP: yes, but I don't think it is going to happen so I'm not getting het up about it

I'm the opposite mate. For me it's an absolute must and priority position. Top keeper would have won us about 5-6 more points already this season. He's an absolute liability with real poor decision making which has crept in more than normal. 13 games in and there's probably about 8 occasions where we've all said "bad decision by Howard". That's far far too many at this stage of the season.

Was saying in the boozer today. We've not had the money to spend on a luxury purchase like a new Goalkeeper for ages. Now that we're apparently able to spend a bit without selling I think a new goalie should be the priority for next summer. Last year was probably Howard's best for us, but before and since he's been average at best for this level.
