Yes I have. But the ROI doesn’t get to vote on whether NI joins the ROI. Nor does the U.K. get to vote on the ROI joining the U.K.....

You realise that what you have just said is that if there is a border poll tomorrow and Northern Ireland vote to join the Republic then the Republic have no say in it. Furthermore if Mary Lou takes the head staggers and has a referendum on joining the United Kingdom the the United Kingdom just have to let them.
You might be on to something here, we in Northern Ireland could vote ourselves into the United States, their economy's going fairly well at the moment, once things start to go bad for them we can vote ourselves into another economically successful country. We could be on easy street forever, just keep having border polls.

Yes it does.

The GFA requires both parts of Ireland to hold Referendums and both parts have to say Yes.

The North has to say Yes to unification....the South has to say Yes to changing its Constitution to facilitate it.

You have confirmed the suspicion of @Fedlingen though.....you ain’t read the GFA lol

I'm not even British or Irish and I read it as part of my school curriculum in my teens.

For those interested:

It's genuinely boggling how continually you promote your limited understanding on any form of politics or international relations. It'd be more hilarious if it wasn't ill informed semi-Partridge's who had made this whole mess come about

Schooled again on Ireland, this time by Khal. Laughable.....

Not really, but my post was badly worded. SF in the ROI are saying that they will only support a Party if they have a referendum within 5 years. Fine, but the ROI having any refendum does mean that NI joins it, was my point....

Perfect! A view on everything. An understanding of nothing. Obviously a plant........

Probably best if you lads allow the grown ups to converse. If you have an actual input fine, but this schoolground ya boo stuff doesn’t really add anything.....

As I mentioned, it was badly worded. What I meant was that one nation cannot impose a result on another nation as you say.....

Do you mean you and Joey? One gets banned from threads and the other can't string a sentence together. You may be better sticking to subjects you have an interest or knowledge in. That would reduce your output considerably......

You are still badly wording it, Peter.

I can’t see the point you are trying to make.
