It'd be far better off left to an independent commission or something to plan it all rather than to individual ministers imho.
Would you be joining commemorations for WW1 and WW2 too? Seeing as you conspired with the Germans during the 1st and prepared to work alongside Adolf following the 2nd?
The Russians were receiving aid via the convoys sent by the UK and USA. It was no thanks to Ireland or from Ireland evidently.
Russia stepped up and saved Europe, and for that we are all thankful, think we can agree there
You're thankful? Well since you never picked a side, you had nothing to worry about. The Allies saved Europe.

That's gratitude for you I suppose. Consider this, the little Channel Islanders put up more of a fight than Ireland in fighting for the free world! Size didn't matter to them! They took on the full might of the Nazi's, brave as brass! Pity for 'tiny' little Ireland though (which by the way wasn't a neutral island since plucky little NI fought the good fight - God bless them).
Ireland actually contributed a lot of vital information to the Allies during the war, vital meteorological information to give the go ahead for the Normandy landings for example.
The Donegal corridor was also vital for the merchant navy traversing the N Atlantic.
It didn't fit the republican agenda of Dev at the time to have this acknowledged and it doesn't fit others agendas of today.
