Prev.....is this nonsense likely to become an issue in the forthcoming Election in the Republic?
It'd be far better off left to an independent commission or something to plan it all rather than to individual ministers imho.I wouldn't think so tbh, but who knows. On a related note, interesting to see the approach to the 1921 commemorations next year
Would you be joining commemorations for WW1 and WW2 too? Seeing as you conspired with the Germans during the 1st and prepared to work alongside Adolf following the 2nd?I wouldn't think so tbh, but who knows. On a related note, interesting to see the approach to the 1921 commemorations next year

The Russians were receiving aid via the convoys sent by the UK and USA. It was no thanks to Ireland or from Ireland evidently. We knew the Russians would step up and slap the Germans down tbh

You're thankful? Well since you never picked a side, you had nothing to worry about. The Allies saved Europe.Russia stepped up and saved Europe, and for that we are all thankful, think we can agree there

What's your stance on the royal family's 'apparent' nazi sympathies before and during the war mate? You may be better off worrying about those leeches than the people of an avowedly neutral country?Would you be joining commemorations for WW1 and WW2 too? It clearly didn't inspire you Irish to even take on Hitler though, did it?V thankful that Russia made such a valiant stand and inspired Britain and the rest of the world

That's gratitude for you I suppose. Consider this, the little Channel Islanders put up more of a fight than Ireland in fighting for the free world! Size didn't matter to them! They took on the full might of the Nazi's, brave as brass! Pity for 'tiny' little Ireland though (which by the way wasn't a neutral island since plucky little NI fought the good fight - God bless them). As much as a tiny, neutral island who just shook off the shackles of 800 years of oppression could have contributed, we knew the Russians would handle business
