There was not even an issue about peace until he raised it in public. Also, and let’s be very clear here, the ROI did not suffer that greatly, the overwhelmingly greatest number of deaths took place within the U.K., specifically NI. So it was not even Varadkars place to be going on about this in the first place. He has deliberately stirred the pot and he should be ashamed of himself......

If ever there was a single post to nail the ignorance of the UK government and hard Brexit fans it's this.

It was straight out of the Sammy Tache School of Braindead Ranting.

The most loss of life in a single day in the Troubles took place in the Republic.

For which no-one has yet been prosecuted, I might add, due a cover-up by MI6.

Glad you agree
Don't be naughty now Jeffrey, he doesn't agree. It's the madcap British government that are driving a bus at top speed towards the edge of the cliff and who will find themselves deep in the brown stuff when they go over the edge.

Leo is playing this cool as he knows he has plenty of support in Europe and America. It is the UK that will find itself isolated if it continues along the Path of Doom. You'd be better off joining up with the rest of your country in order to avoid the worst of the consequences.

There you go lad. Jim Larkin was born off to the left there for a bit more of a Scouse connection.
Ah.....Flagstaff viewing point showcasing Carlingford Lough in all it's glory. I live a couple of miles from there.

Amazing to think that land on the left of the river is supposedly a different country from the land on the right which is also supposedly a different country from the point from where that pic was taken.

Nah it just isn't.

I had one of those ancestry dna kits bought for me a couple of Christmas's ago: I found out I was 65% Irish and Scottish (with a genetic community centred around South Down and North Louth) and 35% English, Welsh and North West European.

;)

I have never taken a test like that Dave....I must try it some day,

Anyway....my maternal grandparents are from Belfast and my dad was the son of a Letterkenny, Co. Donegal woman and a man from Rosslare in the County Wexford :)

Hence my love for and deep rooted family connections with those three Irish regions,

Both parents born in Liverpool, regarded by many as the capital of Ireland :pint2:

You'd be about 98% Irish...with a bit trace region thrown in.
